This guy doesn't know anything about 'raaga'. A 'gita' is a song. Songs have rythms or raaga!!!! All this guy is doing it is reading it- and that out of tune!!!!!

Thanks for your sweet words of positive criticism :) Yes, of course, I'm just reading this and not trying to sing it in some 'raaga', and I believe, this IS the Brahminical way of reciting Gita or any Sanskrit shloka which is in 'Anushthub Channda' meter. I've just kept it at a slow pace, normally Sanskrit shlokas are recited much faster. Yes, Gita is a song and songs have rythms or raagas, but only one or two shlokas at the most can be set and sung in any particular raaga because an exposition of any raaga requires a minimum of 20-25 mins. How on earth can you sing the entire Gita which consists of hundreds of shlokas in any raaga??? I haven't yet listened to any Gita (Bhagavad Gita, Guru Gita or Avadhuta gita) sung in raaga, if you have, do provide me the link or even better, why don't you yourself create the video & upload it on your channel?? I would definitely love to see that :)

Rajanikant Chandwadkar Dear Sriman Rajannikant, I certainly did not mean to offend you personally. But the scriptures left to mankind by our Rsis and Munis deserve the greatest respect and dligence. I am sorry to say you ARE mistaken. ALLthe scriptures are in meter (chhandas) and as for the Bhagavat Gita -which I recite every day has exactly 2 meters. I will upload my rendition of the Bhagavad Gita -possibley at Gita Jayanti.

Vijay Parmar Mr.Parmar, I think you totally missed my point! I very well know what 'Chhandaas' are, that's why I quoted the 'Anushthub' meter in my last reply. What I'm trying to say is that one cannot apply 'raagaa' to Sanskrit recitation of Gita or any other Sanskrit scriptures for that matter. By the way, what is your understanding of the word 'raagaa'? would you mind to elaborate??
