Just lost my dear Mom on December 19th. Listening to this is helping me to be at peace. I used to chant this every day in LA Siddha Yoga Meditation Center. Met Gurumayi a few times at some Intensives and got Shaktipot from her. She gave the best talks. Is she still with us? Blessings to all, especially those like me who may have lost a loved one at the Holidays. Om namah shivaya!

i am from Patna India, I am in contact with gurudev muktanand since1984, my earliar life was very materialistic but guru gita and chanting jyot se jyot jagao aarti,and Gita changes my life completely,I am a regular sadhak, i visited Aasaram 1986 to 1992 many time,I would say grace of guru and guru gita can change any one life and fullfill all necessary need of one's life.sadagurunath nath ki jay.

Yes, Raj....I agree 100 per cent. I live in Canada. Met Muktananda in dream 1976. In 1978, I met him in person in Oakland ashram. In a split second, my life change 180 degrees. I do sadhana 45 years. The blessing I get in one day could fill an ocean. May all Beings be happy.

On coming 5 th Jan 23 I will be completing 24 years of Sidhyayog Sadhana by Gurumayis Grace

My father was follower of Shri Muktanand baba, he had previledge to meet baba and took his blessings. Got diksha from baba. Sadh gurunath Maharaj ki jay🙏

I chanted Guru Gita many times at the Shree Muktananda Ashram in NY, Siddha Yoga meditation centers, and my home for several years about 20 years ago. I do not think I have ever heard more beautiful, tender, devotional sounds. I have tears in my eyes listening now. The words are enchanted, as is the nature of sanskrit. Anyone who may struggle with the idea of "guru worship" may just remember that our higher self is the True guru. An outer guru (physical guru or any sentient being for that matter) is simply a mirror to our own inner divinity.

Maybe we have met there, I visited the ashram twice in the early 90s. :-) And used to sing the Guru Gita at home, and in SY centers in Germany, many times.

I am from India, and I had the opportunity to chant the 'Sri Guru Geeta ' both in the ganeshpuri ashram and regularly at home. It is such solace to the heart that you merge into your innerself. All other distractions of the physical world, you rise above the duality and find a solace and peace within you, like never before. Your mundane desires are fulfilled as your spiritual progress enhances. It bestows all good things in life and eleminates the bad things. That's the power bestowed in the Sri Guru Geeta chants.

this was the chant when i arrived at ganeshpuri a few days before the mahasamahdi celebration in 1988, a magical year in my life.

my son was 5 yr old and had mumps. i used to chant gurugita. he got cured within three days.. om namah shivaye

It's subtle and the 'Sri Guru' grants all boons, whatever may be the asking. This is a great swadhyyaya.

My first introduction ...around 1971/1972.....at the time the Ashram was in full swing ....very well gardened and full of mostly foreign guests except a few Indians among whom the girl I had travelled so far to see...thanks to Guru Kripa...I met Muktananda... the second, he alighted from his Merceded Benz....he told me my shoes were bad..I told him they were used...however, thanks to my girlfriend diplomatic powers, I was 'invited' to stay..for which I was grateful and curious....If my memory is correct I was 'able' to stay two or three weeks in Ganeshpuri....which will always remain as being located in a TOTALLY separate time-space from everything else I lived later on in India ... the day started 3am with a meditation/recitation of the Gita ..on the same tune... .then....then...then came the 'Drshan time'around early afternoon...when, on week ends only, a colourful crowd of a few hundreds 'Bombay wallahs' were magically organised to meet Muktananda... It was happenning in a concrete hall painted with taste in pink,orange and yellows ...with a few greens....all layered with massive cushions....We inmates were sitting at the back while the indian visitors wre paying their respects to Muktananda whom I never saw without thick solid sunglasses for the whole time I stayed there... It was warm and full of the flowers smells....people were telling Muktananda that the were Air India pilots or Bank managers or extremely nice housewives and that they could not live without his blessings...which he seemed to take very casually .....I didnt't know how to take this show...not excatly knowing if I was fit for this nonsense...then that I wanted to see more but on conditions ...being that I could leave the Ashrams..from 7pm till morning Gita recitation at 3 or 4 in the morning .....My god what a favour they did to me... I frankly didnt' know much about all this Yoga/Mukti thing....and honestly I could not care less ....The whole scene was so strange and fake (except when I could escape the Ashram at night)...but what what stroke me most was the attitude of the westerners ....thin,white and blary eyed..looking so worried.... compared with the indians.... I learned later, mostly Bombay middle class with a mix of local maharisthrians farmers ....so nice, relax and warms....so relaxed that some of them went into trances..it was called 'Shaktipat'....

My papa was a follower of Babaji since 1972. I remember that during my childhood we used to stay in Sidhdhapeeth during many occasions. We used to rush to attend Gurugeeta at 5:00am. I could recite the whole Gurugeeta when I was 12 years old and requested babaji to hear. One day he set under the tree located at the main gate and asked to recite. Many Ashramwasis stood in a queue and I started😊 he was overwhelmed to hear and gave me a nice silk scarf!

I've loved Siddha Yoga since I first came across it in 1985. ❤️ In the 1990's I met Gurumayi in Sydney where I did an intensive with her. Also did the Siddha Yoga Correspondence Course for about 8 years. Those were amazing and beautiful days .. 😊

Sri Guru Geeta is the sweetest surrender to the Guru. With faith and concentration it can bring great boons on one and all. It's mantras have great power as it is told by Shivaji himself to Mata Parvati for the benefit of sadhakas on the path of siddha yoga. Each mantra is self fulfilling ✨ 💛 💕 💖 and ✨ makes the chanter calm instantly.

There's only one language that calms me to the core, it's Sanskrit - language of the gods.

Gurugita is best.iam doing every morning.so beautiful.

I am from a village which is very near to ganeshpuri. I want to share an incident related to gurugeeta. 2 years ago a couple from Usa came to ganeshpuri with there two daughters. Incidentally i was meet them in my village for one puja ceremony. At that time they discuss with me regarding gurugeeta but i was really confuse to gave perfect answers to there questions because i was never read gurugeeta at that time, But i was try to gave answers for there questions , only because i was heard some information about gurugeeta from my neighbours. After that i knew importance of gurugeeta in our daily life. From that date I am going to attend gurugeeta so many times , in siddhapeeth ashram ganeshpuri.

The original recording by BABA was in 1970 at Big Indian ashram of Rudi. This was BABA first stop on first usa tour. You hear in background the cucuk clock going off. Very wonderful moment

I listen to the guru Gita every day it’s very fulfilling its very great recitation mantra

Let me add a strange incidence about Shree Guru Gita. I was in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.[1982] I used to chant Guru Gita daily. One fine evening , a Nigerian was passing by our house. He heard my chanting. He rang the bell. My son opened the door. Nigerian brother asked, who is chanting Guru Gita ? My son replied , my father. Next , can sit near your father and hear. Yes you can. He sat in our room where I was reciting. When I finished. He asked me do you recite this every day. Yes. Have gone to Ganeshpuri? No, I have not. When you visit India you should visit Ganeshpuri. There is an Ashram of Swami Nityanad . There they chant Guru Gita . He said, I am going to Sweden tomorrow but before I fly I should give you a cassette of this Mantra.He bought the casette next day. What is surprising is , a Nigerian who heard the shlokas could remember and just entered the room to listen GuruGita. Probably, Swamiji sent him to me! Ashok Gholap

I listen to Guru Gita ( this one I love especially) for more than 10 years now. My TM teacher suggested it to me. It is very cleansing of disturbing vrittis , balancing of emotions and feelings ( chakras alignment) and it renforces our auras. It focuses our mind mind soul so much that allow us to "see" things clearly within and without... It has to be taken as a true Sadhana for self discovery and alignment...

Dear @wantai. Yes of course you can play it & still have benefits. Sanskrit has power as a very ancient language. You can have it playing on low, on repeat, even overnight. It clears the energy & purifies. Can I suggest you might add your intention for reason for playing it as well 🙏🏼

@@sacredwomensbusiness6799 Sanskrit has nothing to do with it. Language is powerful, just because it's old doesn't make it 'magical'... old languages require concentration you wouldn't normally do in your own... Language is sacred, it's magic, and it's perfect.

@@SH-xu5by Sanskrit has power not due to being old but because it is the pure language revealed by enlightened rishis. It is a vibrational/ phonetic language, not merely linguistic. That's why it was stated that even listening without chanting or understanding still carries immense benefits, especially when setting conscious intention. Quantum physics and all that science revealed to the enlightened tradition of Sanatana Dharma and still relevant today. Mountain top memories form 1978 when I was blessed to be with Muktananda..I had thought it was history - It's now 2021 and his voice causes an eruption in my being.

I have been to Ganeshputi, to Nityanada's Temple, which is absolutely devine and so full of Grace, and I find this version of the Guru Gita, of which I have heard many, to be my favorite because of it's gentleness and grace, which captures the essence for me of Nityananda and all he has given me.

But have forgotten the message guru gita gives on how to find a Self-realized/Satguru which is crux of it. A Satguru/Poorna Guru connects you with your true-self , with God. He shows you God within you.
