Awwe we used to whistle this in chemistry class someone would start it another would do the next part then we'd all join in, most of us were also in choir, band orchestra & other music classes but I always remember whistling patience in chemistry for some reason lol.

i feel you my friend.. when u are very young like a teenager you dont think about that bc life seems to be infinite and every moment is so intense and you dont know its just a glimps... but then, when life happens an you start realizing the sad truth of life it hits you hard. I was a baby when Gnr came out, still listened to them when i was a teenager and always get flashbacks when i hear them. they are a very important part of my memories, also memories of friends form back then...

The end part of this song where Axl is pouring it in just get me...when he says the the second, "I need you" just tears me up!!

Best part of the song next to the whistling intro & the radio always cuts the end off I used to get so mad cause it was definitely a great ending & really made you feel what he was going through at the time.

This hits me hard considering I could've used a hell of a lot more patience for I too lost someone I loved due to my own arrogance and blatant disregard for her words of guidance. She's married now and all I feel is regret for what I've done to her so this message goes out to the one who not only stole my heart but gave it back: I can never change what I did to hurt you nor can I ever give you what my old friend aka your husband can but it is thanks to you that I learned how to be more patient mindful caring and understanding.
