My dad died because of lung cancer. He was an alcoholic. And I did not cry on his funeral.

I was sitting at work and read on Facebook that you had passed away. The next song that played on the radio was this. We listened to this in middle and high school. I will forever miss you JB.

The last song my bestest ever friend played for me, when I got arrested at her place. I was caught at her place after running away from a group home. It was also the last time I had seen her face to face. Why did she have to go see her grandma in California? She got caught in a crossfire between opposing gang members. I lost the most important person in my life in 1995. I wish I had stopped her from going. Wish I could change places with her. She deserved to live. Not me.

Alcoholism is one hell of a demon. I watched that man with gifted hands build mansions, without ever going to school and family homes throughout my life. He was happy and healthy but the Alcohol caused severe damage over time and ultimately ended his life far too soon. He was the youngest of 7 & looked the oldest in the end. I want to say a little prayer for all those who are struggling with Alcoholism or any other substances. You're stronger than you realize. So beat that monster before it takes you and destroys the ones you will be leaving behind. Amen 🙏 Until We Meet Again, I will Cherish All That We Shared & Keep Your Memory Alive. My friend wrapped his iroc z around a tree at 16 years old 2 months after this came out. Think of him till this day when I hear this. My kids are now a year older than he was when he died… surreal

Very good song to console anybody grieving for any reason. Sounding good.

Yes, Slash's lead guita work is 'rock virtuoso' standard. But so are the rest of the good musicians supporting him and Axl, who also deserve acknowledgement and credit, though they are not the front line performers, like Axl and Slash. The bass guitar and drums give a band solid rhythmic su b stance and piano, backing vocals etc add extra interest.

The best tribute I can give GNR is that I’m going to learn to play the solo. Already started.
