Immersed in other cultures of people in the same boat as me. Seen a LOT of disaster and violence and just general shittyness. But also deeply inspired by people (of (a;ll cultures) around me rising above, working hard. Dedicated and loyal and fair. I could focus on the suicides and stabbings and beating that I saw as a young girl. But i do not see it that way. I observed deep family and community relations that I did not have. Deep tolerance and patience with people not understanding each other. Although, dorky and somewhat awkward, i did not receive much bullying. In fact, one of the scariest situations of my life, I was SAVED from a group of Rastafarians in my neighbourhood. ( a man chasing me in his car to abduct me). So all of this race rhetoric is completely lost on me. Any real violence I sew was either domestic or drug related. I love when people react to songs WITH the lyrics so they can get the message of the song rather than just jamming out to it. Very well done. I would recommend “Paradise City” by Guns N Roses w/lyrics. It sounds like a party song but it actuality Axl is saying something if you read the lyrics.

Axel rose, for the longest time had the widest range for any vocalist. He has sung notes that span nearly on the low end, from F1, the second-lowest octave in scientific pitch notation, (There Was a Time - from the album "Chinese Democracy"), to B flat 6 (Ain't it Fun - from the album "The Spaghetti Incident?"), and sometimes above it. Rose has a lower baritone than Barry White, and can reach higher notes than Tina Turner and Beyoncé even Mariah. That's pretty much 6 octaves. You should react to their song Estranged...It's about unrequited love, acknowledging it and being there, and having to figure out what the fuck to do… ultimately coming out the other side. You can put up the video, especiallyif you pause it, I've seen other reactors do it.
@MrLjs203 жыл бұрын
This was the path Axl’s mind began going down after they hit fame. He seemed to be the one early on that wanted to stop doing party, drug songs and focus on relevant topics instead. However, once they blew out all their old material on Use Your Illusion 1.2 they never released another creative album. The band broke up and Axl carried on working on an album called Chinese Democracy for nearly two decades. By the time part 1 of Chinese released in 2008 it didn’t live up to its title. We never saw the other two parts but now as the band has reformed with Slash, and the only words Axl speaks publicly are on politics it makes you wonder if they can squeeze out that magic that made this song on a new album three decades later.

I'm late to the reaction, but absolutely loved watching this. I have been a long time fan of GnR. They are typically remembered in a negative light and highly misunderstood. Part of the American Civil War song "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" is used at the beginning and end of the song, where it's whistled by Axl Rose. Slash (Saul Hudson), Duff (Michael McKagan) and W. Axl Rose wrote this for Use Your Illusion 2, which was released simultaneously with Use Your Illusion 1. The song originally appeared on the 1990 album Nobody's Child, a fundraising compilation for Romanian orphans.

Okay bro, I have a music track I'd like you to check out and I'm willing to bet you won't have heard of it.😁It's called "Shard of Ice" by the Russian band "Aria" and the song is from the year 2002.🤘I want to see your reaction to that one, but it has to be a first listening, no cheating and having a sound peek first.😅 Unfortunately the original video clip was filmed with a potato, it was like 480p, so I have personally remixed it plus added lyrics/subtitles in both Russian & English and reuploaded it onto my channel to give it a fighting chance of getting more listens among a Western audience. Plus I think the reaction will be better as my version is in 4k quality. Now as you probably know, I can't put a direct link here in the comments or our KZread overlords will flag it for spam and it'll get deleted. It's currently the sixth one down on my youtube channel but I will be adding more vids so that is going to change in future. To help you find it the title is: "Shard of Ice, by Aria. A progressive Russian rock ballad.🤯With English subtitles / translation." (if you do decide to do a reaction video all I ask is a link back to my video because that contains links to the band and where to buy the track if people like it...)

E9 Marine here. There is NOTHING civil about war. Did 2 tours in Afghanistan and war changes a person. I dont wish it on anyone. Love this song. Your reaction was awesome. Lots of love from TN
Duff, Slash and Axl are prophets when they wrote this song
Great moral to the story. The lead in is a bit from the movie "Cool Hand Luke".

Oh didn’t know that , that’s dope!
I love when people react to songs WITH the lyrics so they can get the message of the song rather than just jamming out to it. Very well done. I would recommend “Paradise City” by Guns N Roses w/lyrics. It sounds like a party song but it actuality Axl is saying something if you read the lyrics.

No joke. Everyone listening to "Pumped Up Kicks" saying "That's my jam" not knowing what the lyrics are about drives me crazy.
You did a fantastic job reacting and breaking down this song. This has been one of my favorite songs since 1991.
This speaks to even to the times we're are experiencing today! Sad but true!
Man the message in the song is amazing
Great reaction bro! Keep the GnR train going 🤘🏻🤠🤘🏻
Axl Rose singing and Slash on guitar.....yeah that Slash with the Top hat.

And Axl Rose with bandana and cow boy hat
We never saw the other two parts but now as the band has reformed with Slash, and the only words Axl speaks publicly are on politics it makes you wonder if they can squeeze out that magic that made this song on a new album three decades later.

well, actually Axl was the one spending tons of money on exotic parties backstage
The song includes the American Civil War song, "When Johnny Comes Marching Home", whistled by Axl Rose in the intro and outro.
This song is too true for us today. Great reaction, you heard it on every level. Thank you.
great reaction! the lead guitarist is called Slash!
I'm 48 now, and GNR was HUGE when I was young. It's really great to see a new generation not only appreciate their music but take the time to actually understand it. Thanks for this video, you made my day.
This song only becomes more relevant as time goes on
You have to check out “Estranged” by them...such a masterpiece on all levels
Love, love, love GNR!! So many great songs for you to react to. Thanks for doing this one and for the reaction!! You're Awesome!! 🙂
That's slash on guitar and the part that you said you didn't know what happened is a quote from a Peruvian general named strother Martin he said We practice selective annihilation of mayors and government officials, For example, to create a vacuum. Then we fill that vacuum as popular war advances. Peace is closer."
"Did you wear a black armband when they shot the man who said that peace could last forever" When he was four years old, bassist Duff McKagan went to a march with his mother, after Martin Luther King had been shot.
One of best songs ever. Just one of best songs at all the times!
The one and only Axl Rose, my friend
Holds true to this very day!!
knockin on heavens door live at the freddie mercury tribute concert and patience!
"You can't trust freedom when it's not in your hands" ... that is something.. something and a half....
Axl...just the best singer to ever walk the earth
I'm late to the reaction, but absolutely loved watching this. I have been a long time fan of GnR. They are typically remembered in a negative light and highly misunderstood. Their songs, when broken down, have always had a message or story. People usually just assume they had no depth, or real skill. That's just laughable. Great reaction and breakdown. Thank you.
Slash is on the Electric Guitar. The, " Use Your Illusions" are great albums. And a Native American female, I can understand the conflict.
Hey yo man preciate it brother stay safe everybody
wear a black arm band, when they shot the man, who said peace could last forever...(Dr Martin Luther King) and in my first memories they shot Kennedy....

I was thinking he could have meant him or John Lennon. Both men preached Peace Both lives sadly shortened by a bullet.

METALLICA Disposable Heros is along those lines too.
The quote towards the end is a speech by a Peruvian Shining Path communist guerrilla officer saying "We practice selective annihilation of mayors and government officials, for example, to create a vacuum, then we fill that vacuum. As popular war advances, peace is closer".
You'll like War Pigs from Black Sabbath if you haven't heard it probably and if you haven't done Queen songs Freddie Mercury's got an awesome voice
Great video man. Really liked it
GNR.....oh yes....Slash is ridiculously good.....🎼🎶🎸🎤🤘🔥😎Look at when they released this song......these lyrics are profound. The tension in Axl’s vocal against that screaming guitar of Slash........genius. Changes aren’t permanent, but change is......( Neil Peart- Rush ) Change is relevant and necessary- Albert Einstein.
Happy about any GNR reaction beyond the Hits....great lyrics and melody and guitar....keep exploring..Use your Illusions is full of awesome stuff...
The lead guitarist is Slash.
This is a protest song and you can really apply it to that’s happening today this shit has been going on and I like the song with the lyrics some food forethought
GnR - Knockin on heavens door at Freddie Mercury Trubute!

That is Axl whistling. He can whistle like a bird. Epic! You should check out G N'R's song "Patience". He whistles in that one too. It's a great song!!
Yes, Axl is whistling
30,000 frand, you on your way to a million!
More relevant today than it was when it was written
Springsteen’s Ghost of Tom Joad, rock roll hof performance. Huber Strike Both are still resonating powerfully.
Slash on lead guitar and Izzy on rhythm guitar.
Love your reviews. Please do more Guns N’ Roses. Do some stuff off of Chinese democracy. Like better, if the world, this I love.
Oh I would love to see you react to Crazy on you by Heart, the vocals are amazing
They don't always block them it's hard to say whether they will or not but I don't think it has to do with volume
For real rush check out "Breakdown" from Use Your Illusion. Profound, wise and it kicks ass! Anyway , thanks for another fun reaction!
a tip to react to would be Coma. Greetings from Germany!!!
Do some more guns n' roses man do Paradise City and Knocking on heaven's door back to back from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992 if you want to see what they're all about. Best live band ever
You have to do knocking on heavens door and paradise city from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert if you want to see the best live band ever?
I agree with all your comments that you made at the last
You're the best reactor man but you need to get into a lot more guns and roses I know you'll love them. Two Paradise City and Knocking on heaven's door back to back from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992. Best live band ever and I know you love Queen. They played those two songs at the tribute concert check it out you won't be disappointed
g nr have a load of great songs, motorhead have a few anti war songs, like ''victory or die'' on bad magic album
Dropping nothing but facts!

How long has America not been at war since becoming America?
Yeah react to more Guns n Roses
Who's that on the guitar??... Slash!
Do GnR My Michelle. Another underrated classic by them
So many themes hit on here.. Perhaps my favorite is the idea that rugged individualism, which is a cornerstone of the American experience, will also probably be our downfall.. “When everybody’s looking for THEIR promised land”..
Thats vunter schlauz on the guitar. Hes our parents
Brillant... ❤❤❤❤❤
Slash is nasty on the guitar..
one of my favorite songs by GnR. should check out Ozzy Osborne "Dreamer" also a very relevant song to today's world situation
Please react to skid row “wasted time”! You’ll love it!
Can you do I Use To Love Her. A romantic straight forward love song by Guns N' Roses.
@80skidjon17
3 жыл бұрын
It’s actually not a love song. I used to love her was written by Axl about his dog lol. That’s why you get the lyrics I used to love her but I had to kill her. She’s buried right in my back yard.
Axl is brilliant..
try Guns N Roses - Coma next is a whole new level
This song should make everyone cry, and when the tears have dried We collectively turn the tide and begin the political genocide The scars aren’t ours The cowards in the Ivory Towers should bear those marks Monetary whores I don’t want to hear from them no more Bury the rich Feed the poor And let history tell the truth Of their false wars The bloody hands of the hypnotized Stripped our pride and ostracized our minds With forked tongue talk of God and human rights Sending the sons of others To defend imaginary lines or die trying Their half truth history loses sight Once we’ve written what’s right War, civil unrest, inequality We’ll abolish Ain’t that fresh
And to think this song is around 30 yrs old
Reaction civil war live Paris 92 please
Axl Rose =6 octave range.
A masterpiece. Please react to Coma
How’s he feel about 1 in a million
Dont damn me! Locomotive! Plz
I guess you were watching the video but if you were just watching the lyrics you should watch the video on your own because bro it's got cops beating people And all that jazz
woke
Wasted Time got blocked....at least here in Germany? If its allover, please redo, if you can...the song deserves that...:)
I usually enjoy your reactions but the sound quality on this one is horrible....
