Been a thing since the M1A1. You can get a 10 digit MGRS Coordinate is you lase somewhere basednoff the range you get and your azimuth. It's pretty fun to use to call for fire (artillery basically)

@@Kafkodesu Huh, sweet- I wanted to go military but can't eat MREs due to a malabsorption disorder, so I content myself with simulators. The best tank game I know is Gunner, Heat, PC (how I found this video, looking up random stuff) and the newest one they've modeled is the M1IP. It's also a sim-lite game, not a real sim, so they don't model some of the more complicated features, but it's pretty fun.

@@fim-43redeye31 Yeah, i got an email to play an early build on steam a while back and its pretty fun. Im super hardcore when it comes to sims so I'm definitely more of a steel beasts guy but I think GHPC is really good for those who want a good balance between SB and something like War Thunder. Frankly i wish war thunder played like GHPC.

Also i kinda figured, I guess the title is super popular for people to search cause I was super confused as to why this video was getting so many views lmao.

I just enlisted as a 19kilo, I was originally a 0671 in the marines corps(IT job) . Being in a tank is extremely fun. I got to ride the loaders spot for a dog and pony show to show of the m1a1 SA. That thing throws you around and has zero regard for anyone. But it’s super fun, I haven’t been on gunnery yet that’s what this video is. Best job I’ve ever had. Going 45 feels great in the summer being out of the hatch wind blowing.

The footage here is all on the SEPv2 but the SEPv3 feels about the same to shoot. Turret traverse rate and inertia's the only real difference I felt gunning. The SEPv3 uses the same TIS too.

The line over the range indicates multiple returns recieved from the LRF. Basically meaning two ranges were deduced when you lased. It doesnt mean its neccissarily wrong, but it could be. The box indicates whether or not the main gun or coax solenoid is armed or connected. If you watch and listen for the loader saying "UP!", at the same time you'll see that box appear.

On the Army's website it lists the minimum requirements and describes what your basic duties and expected performance will be. It's not hard if you actually want it and are hungry for knowledge and are willing to apply what you learn and improve yourself in that job and ultimately become a better soldier, tanker, and eventually leader. I will say if you do that, all of the hard times are gonna be some of the best when you're with your crew and platoon in the shit getting rained on or breaking track in the summer sun. Most fun job ive ever had. I should do a Q&A lol.

@@Kafkodesu is it okay to use this footage? I thought video of the interiors to military vehicles were kept regulated/censored, especially with weapons systems? Also, was this typical training, or some multi-country military exercise? Asking as a civilian, who knows little of tanks. (Also, as a tall guy who would find being in a tank to be a bad idea.)

On the Army's website it lists the minimum requirements and describes what your basic duties and expected performance will be. It's not hard if you actually want it and are hungry for knowledge and are willing to apply what you learn and improve yourself in that job and ultimately become a better soldier, tanker, and eventually leader. I will say if you do that, all of the hard times are gonna be some of the best when you're with your crew and platoon in the shit getting rained on or breaking track in the summer sun. Most fun job ive ever had. I should do a Q&A lol.
