I haven't played mhw in years but I'm starting a fresh character with a friend and I'm using gunlance. Way out of my comfort zone and this is the perfect video for me!

Very clear and concise guide, much appreciated. It's been awhile since I've touched gunlance, especially in world, and it was one of my top 5 fav weapons but I'm rusty and couldn't remember a lot of the combo's etc. This cleared all that up for me and then some. Quality video for sure. I likely won't touch the ICE mod personally, as who knows what wilds will bring, and I honestly don't hate GL as it is, but it definitely seems very nice, lots of QOL. Hopefully we keep seeing some videos from you.

Ah d'ailleurs petite question, je voulais savoir en quoi le joyaux Fronde + était utile ? pour la charge que tu pose sur le monstre après avoir mis les munitions de fronde ou pour quelque chose d'autre ? Merci pour ton temps !!

Merci!^^ Oui le principal intérêt d'augmenter les munitions de fronde est d'allonger la durée de la charge explosive, les munitions laissées par les monstres sont plus efficaces que les munitions ordinaires comme les pierres. Autrement, avoir une plus grande capacité de fronde permet aussi de projeter plusieurs fois un monstre contre un mur sans avoir à ramasser de munitions.

The ICE mod probably got patched already since I can only refill the wyrmstake with a standard reload, quick reload only refills the shells. Prob for the better since it makes standard reload absolutely pointless which balances the elem/status buildup part.

I really came here just to get some insight into the weapon even though it only somewhat interested me, didn’t expect to learn so much about the game lol. Motion values, clagger, etc.

The problem with this weapon is that using its raw damage is pointless when you can use shells which ignore monster shield

Hi! I wouldn't recommend using game-changing mods with ICE. Besides ICE I personally only use mods that add extra quests or skins, Resurgence for example is compatible from my experience.

I hope they incorporate ideas from ICE into MH6

What move did you used at 2:10 to block the Rathian's tailwhip? It looks like Quick Reload but you did it from a neutral position, and you were able to follow up with a smash->burst fire immediately. I tried doing it in the training area, but i still take damage everytime

The guard point on quick reload is exclusive to ICE

Weird spot to try and make friends. But is anybody interested in playing Monster Hunter iceborne on Playstation. I came back to the game about a month ago and I'm trying to get to the point where I can have good equipment. I'm looking for some decent people to help me raise my MR.

look up the monster hunter gathering hall. you should be able to find some people. unfortunately im on pc myself.

Last time I played, I remembered gunlance had like a spray, like you Charge up through like 3 stages and then unleash a series of shots..... Now I cant figure out if I remember wrong

One is not better than the other it depends on the situation, some attacks cannot be blocked and you will have to dodge away from them. Play on your own and do as you like. You can do a counter focus build which is very fun to do in ICE with the added guard point. For evasion, having evade window 3 is usually more than enough and if you want extra mobility evade extender 2 is another good pick. Have fun :)

The overhead slam is triangle after a quick reload (R2+circle) or the upgrade swing (triangle+circle). After the slam you can continue two ways. Circle gives you a full burst while triangle gives you a wide sweep, which is what you see in the video. After the wide sweep either triangle or circle gives you the final wyrmstake you see in the video. You can also loop into the quick reload to repeat the combo. This combo is the bread and butter for Normal gunlances, using the full burst when there's an opening.
