The map knowledge, the kiting, the target selection, the timing of the abilities, attack cancels, aim. Just a shopping list of skills on display and then the tick of soulblaze from the Maniac kill drops the Chaos Spawn just when it was going to snack on you and and your run for the luck. Reminds me of the phrase "The more I practice the lucker I get." Watching someone be good at a Tide game really is something.

So true, I used to watch the game play and be like no way am I doing a high intensity gauntlet + runs on damnation. Now it is the only thing I do that is even remotely close to interesting with everything else being a snooze fest.

I remember when the Class Overhaul released, people were complaining about Scrier's Gaze being a "useless" ult. Some of us, however, learned that Scrier's Gaze makes Gun Psykers extremely viable.

"Useless" ult AKA a better version of Executioners Stance (on weapons with good crit chains/benefit highly from crits, like IAGs or laspistol) that gives massive damage resistance, movement speed, and has higher overall uptime during boss fights 💀

Not to mention it's literally a better version of Saltz ability in VT2, which many players would consider one of the best abilities in that game.

Honestly it’s so relaxing watching someone so good play this game. I don’t know about anyone else but I think you could put some music in beneath all of the gameplay sounds, but only if you really want to, I’ll watch anything you post :)

This build is so much fun, I was concerned that it wouldn't feel 'psykery' enough but its really just a blast managing popping off with scryer's gaze at key moments

The first clip (fighting the chaos spawn) was crazy. Though it just shows that gun psyker runs out of ammo for me, and it's mainly for the player skill that compensates for the build.

God, that opening clip was ludicrous

... this is the ultimate configuration and incarnation of the psyker. Fast, frenetic... beautiful; no laboured and stilted-motion... no brain-burst (thank-God). True space-magic. It's the level of performance and power-fantasy that was originally desired from the space-wizard. Better late... than never.

Can anyone explain the dueling sword light swing when he’s sliding/switching weapons? Is it a movement tech thing and/or some sort of animation cancel? Thanks.

I've been personally trying to play gaze gun psyker as well, and while it is pretty fun and viable, the idea of having to take away ammo from classes that may need it the most draws me away from it a little bit. But the gun ogryn at the other side of the room doesn't reeeeally have to know about this one ammo drop, does he *yoink*

did you know that if you play the MK4 dueling sword, you can do a heavy attack and cancel the recovery frames into a special attack thrust for extra damage? I use it frequently to kill muties, specials, and armored units. I'm also convinced that this is the best way to kill bosses - you wait for them to walk up to you and start the swing animation, dodge backwards, and when they're recovering from the final swing you heavy thrust their weak point and cancel it instantly into a special attack and then immediately dodge backwards to avoid the follow up. Very reliable for soloing bosses, though of course you gotta do the other stuff to handle the horde and specials behind the boss :)

I was wondering. Does Scries gaze work with warp siphon ? If it does it could make a cool build of almost nonstop gaze which sounds like fun.

I wish they had a bloodthirsty. Or something like the Minotaur From Vermont tide.

Hope we get a staff that uses less peril so it can be used with scrirars

@@krispurcell3375 Funnily enough it's actually THE highest boss DPS for Psyker second to none. Gaze ups its DPS considerably, but with good aim True Aim in the right-bottom passives tree should be enough to maintain high DPS.

How beginner friendly is this build? ...asking for a friend. I swear!

Gun psyker is not as good as smite in terms of team. Solo yeah it’s decent but assail alone would prevail without the gun. In fact no gun will match the void staff dmg output. Also the rapier has the lowest dmg and not much added to attack speed

It uses unupgraded Smite for emergency CC: Talents: Mettle Quietude Perilous Combustion Battle Meditation +15 Toughness +15 Toughness Smite +5% Toughness Damage Reduction Mind in Motion +5% Toughness Damage Reduction Inspiring Presence Seer's Presence One with the Warp Empathic Evasion +5% Toughness Damage Reduction +5% Ranged Damage Scrier's Gaze Warp Speed Precognition Endurance +5% Critical Hit Chance +10% Health Boost Warp Rider +15 Toughness Kinetic Deflection +5% Movement Speed True Aim Disrupt Destiny Lingering Influence Weapons: Maccabian Mk IV Duelling Sword Maniac Flak Uncanny Strike Rampage/Shred Columnus Mk V Infantry Autogun Perks don't matter much, I'm considering running Crit chance and Crit Damage Dumdum (It procs from Soulblaze stacks) Any Blessing you prefer Curios are up to preference but I run +1 Wound and double Toughness.
