Shall not be infringed doesn't mean anything to them. It's not enough to be right, we also have to be convincing. Shall not be infringed doesn't convince anyone. -2% of counties have 50% of the murders -50% of counties have zero murders -2 times more people are killed every year by a persons bare hands than rifles -86 people mass murdered with 458 injured in France using a truck in 2016, which is many more people than the worst mass shooting in the US (mass murder happens all over the world regardless of the tool) -more people are killed by knives every year than have been killed in all mass shootings in US history combined -The are more guns than people in the US, and more gun owners than the entire population of Canada, more gun owners than all personnel in every military and paramilitary in the entire world combined, yet despite that more people are killed with hammers than rifles every year -according to the CDC 500k to 3 million people defend themselves with guns every year, which is 10 to over 100 times more than the number of people who are killed by people with guns (I myself have used a gun to defend my life) even if they are dishonest and include personal choices like suicide. -most gun laws are rooted in racism (one for the intersectional types) -guns are known as "the great equalizer" for a reason. A 4ft nothing female with a semi-auto rifle and no training can stand against multiple 6.5ft monsters and win, just look at the pregnant lady that just saved her husbands life. There are so many good pro gun arguments, MANY more than I can even list, please start pushing those, because shall not be infringed just sails over their heads, and if they get enough voting power it will be gone. As an Aussie living in Virginia, I'm extremely worried for the State under the Democrats. Do NOT follow Australia's gun laws, they acheived nothing! Criminals still have guns, gun related crime has not decreased; all that occured was law abiding citizens lost their guns. While Australia is not as bad as the UK, we can still own firearms, the amount of "hoops" you have to go through is absolutely ridiculous. The sad truth is these lawmakers know that banning guns does not work in reducing violence, you just have to look at Chicago. But they're not about that, that is merely a rouse, they want a compliant citizenry, one that is unarmed! I hope that the NRA, GOA and other pro 2A organizations challenge this anti-constitutional legislation all the way.

2 things are happening you can do. I'm in northern va and will fight. 1 go to your county meeting and ask about becoming a 2a sanctuary county, some have already made there county 2a sanctuary. 2 a youtuber va prepper got with a 2a group here in va and is asking everyone that can rally up, meet 8 am jan 20th on the capital steps in richmond to protest this.

In my thirty years as a collector and firearms enthusiast, I've always been careful to make sure that everything I do with firearms is legal. Whether buying, selling, carrying, transporting in a vehicle, whatever, everything that I do is strictly legal. But if Democrats succeed in passing confiscation laws I will not comply, simple as that. For the first time in my life, I'll defy the law and do what's right.

You see, it is criminals who commit those atrocities. They were criminal in their intent to murder and further not complying with the "gun free zone". You cannot change their heart for they are an evil person. Had they not guns, they would commit their acts with other weapons as they do in cities without guns, like London where knives are now replacing guns as the choice weapon. Seriously, I am all for the Second Amendment but unless people are willing to die the Left will never stop. We should have been doing the "Second Amendment Sanctuary" approach in the 1990's at least but people didn't see what was coming or, at least, see that it would be here so soon. Now, I fear, it will not be enough.

@@danrogers4795 That is entirely possible but due to demographic change - the same demographic change that has turned the most populous parts of Virginia and numerous other states from red to blue over the last two generations - will it eventually be possible for rural areas to keep their grip on the Second Amendment? There is the assumption implicit in the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement that the increasingly Left-wing (and increasingly non-White and ANTI-WHITE - these developments are ALL inter-related) will forever hold off if enough rural areas simply refuse to play ball. I don't see that happening. What about when another quarter-century goes by with tens of millions more high-birthrate Third-Worlders streaming in over three-quarters of whom vote Left and don't like, understand, nor sympathize with middle America or the Second Amendment? What about the children - foreign and native-born - who will matriculate from our Cultural Marxist education system in that time? Eventually, the Left, Anti-Second Amendment urban centers WILL refuse cower before rural defiance. I hope that the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement will lead to a peaceful awakening that might lead to a peaceful way out of this impasse - whether the final end is balkanization or continued union - however while I hate the prospect of violence I don't think this will be entirely without physical conflict. Like I say, I hope I am wrong but I have seen enough of human nature and reality to expect the worst.

There WILL BE NO more "shifts to the right" when the Left succeeds in bringing in another ten, twenty, or thirty million, Non-White immigrants who have large numbers of children and vote reliably HARD LEFT. I think we might have had a chance to assimilate more of these people if our education system hadn't been done in by Cultural Marxists decades ago but the two-pronged attack of mass Non-White immigration coupled with the takeover of our institutions by those who hate the West and see these Third World masses they are bringing as electoral and cultural shock troops to destroy us is too much for the Right - as it is presently configured at least - to deal with.

Harry Leach Lobby day is Jan 2020, Martin Luther King day, be there or be square

I've met some indoctrinated people, called some friends. Bought some knives as Christmas gifts one year. Two of these friends said I shouldn't be handing out weapons, having weapons invites violence. The knives in question were a Chef knife, a filet knife, and a cheap throwing knife for my Brother. These two guys were from NY, I guess no one cooks or cleans fish in NY?

I'm in NY! They teach this anti gun, anti self protection in school. You might find it hard to believe but NY is a red state if you remove NYC and a couple other cities like Rochester and Buffalo. These urban areas full of people dependent on government hand outs keep the idiots in power. Look at the 2020 presidential race. It's Trump vs a bunch of Democrats offering free stuff!

Probably because they have this thing called a computer, and they look up this thing called a voter registration record in this thing called a voter registration database that contains this stuff called information so they can tell you if you are or are not voting in the right precinct. Fortunately, a bunch of VA Sheriff departments have stated that they will not comply with unconstitutional laws, including the one in my county.

As a New Yorker, I’d like to send Virginia my deepest sympathies.

You would think that if they meant the right of the Militia to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed that they would have written it as such? Clearly, they meant to distinguish the rights of the people, and the inherent necessity for them to have and be able to form, as long as it was well regulated, a Militia. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the use of the comma separating the two is just meant as a pause to catch your breath but only applied for the second amendment. I don't believe that's the case.

HE HȺTE ME most people I know that have already or are going to move out of California are mostly Conservatives that are giving up on the state. It’s not Liberals looking to vote in Democrats wherever they’re going. It’s Conservatives like me who aren’t going to be voting for Democrats. The reason Texas is feared to be turning purple isn’t because of people from California moving in, most leaving California are Conservative. But the children growing up in Texas who’ve recently come to voting age, are disproportionately Democrat. That’s the real threat for Conservative places. The children are overwhelmingly liberal.

When ever he met someone who was a service man, he would always ask, what branch, first. Then he'd ask, our side? People was like, what do you mean are side with a laugh! He always said, just making sure! He didn't immediately cater to anyone just because they had that uniform on at one time or another! He also filmed the under water scences of the 40's movie Frogmen! He was good friends with Widmark growing up! That movie was responsible for many men becoming Seals!

I was med-evaced from Nam. Suffice to say that I can attest that the doctors stateside weren't very "military". Not to mention that any surgeons who served in-theater saw a lot of carnage. @@f__kyoudegenerates As I understand it, Title 18 USC Section 242 criminializes those officials that deprive us of our Consitiutional rights such as the 2nd amendment. They can be fined and/or jailed, so I have to ask why no one is talking about it or filing complaints. I wonder what would happen if we in the pro 2a community started filing complaints. If politicians/officials get fined or jailed, perhaps we could put an end to the push against us. That is of course until they repeal the 2a. What do we have to lose? Of course, I am not an attorney and if one is reading this, please explain how this works!

@@Mr1234d I dont think that is the case. As I understand it, we make a formal complaint that our rights have been violated and the DOJ investigates and refers charges against the official. As I said, I am not an attorney and hoping that one will jump in here to advise how this works.

We are fighting in va, a lot of us on jan 20th is going up to the steps In richmond to rally up and some counties have started to implement a 2a sanctuary county. There's a board meeting next month i will attend to see if my county will do the same.

Ironically, it's the people living IN those cities that need the most protection from criminals....

Mark belk...i only hope you are right. But that has not been the experience in most of my state. The county Sherrifs (72 overall) here are largley part of the Dem machine and owe their salary and dept funding to dems. In they end they wont bite the hand that feeds them . And with the blue pollution/migration, the conservative few counties wont be conservative long.
