what i noticed with the non-native english ones is that they work way better if you split up every phoneme into a seperate note!! i also experiment a lot with the vowels, depending on the song context for example: i use "ax", "ah" and "aa" iinterchangeably, depending on if i need open or closed sounds it's a very stylistic thing, so feel free to go crazy and play around!!!

yeah her softness is definitely something that needs a workaround reduce breathinessa bit and play around with tone shift!!

Do you use the "do not snap" function often to place the notes outside of 8ths/16ths/32nds etc? I am having hard time making the vocals sound on beat with just 8ths/16ths/32nds but maybe i'm doing something wrong
