How is it your most famous if it originated in india
@raufjaleel8317

@@jumboo8713Gulab jamun was first prepared in Persia and then brought to medieval India. It was derived from a fritter that the Central Asian Turkic People brought to India. Another theory claims that it was accidentally prepared by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan's personal chef.
Thanks Emma for making one of our beloved sweets And in my opinion, eating warm is on an whole other level 🙂 Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰

yaaaaayyy I can't tell you how happy i am when i see this notification pop up on my phone.... literally jumped with joy. thanku thanku for including us. authentically we use khoya instead of milk powder which is also a milk solid but made by slightly curdling the milk so that it doesn't turn tangy. but milk powder method is used when we want to make gulab jaman quickly also its fool proof. so thanks again love.

Its amazing you pulled it off without tasting it before. Its challenging to get the gulab jamuns as perfectlt fried and soaked as yours
It's sooo good. They sell them as desserts/street desserts even, in Pakistan. Soooo good!
You're my favourite food content creator! And yes, you can have them cold, room temperature and also warmed up! Try adding in some thinly sliced pistachios too!
Gulab jamun tastes so nice warmed up! And with vanilla ice cream. We get that at a lot of weddings as dessert
Love watching you talk to the camera and try the food!! Excellent video! 💙✨

Hi Emma, as a non-Indian, attempting to make gulab jamun the first time, I think you did a brilliant job. They look so amazing and delish! You can try rasgullas and carrot halwa (gajar halwa) next. Love & hugs from India 🇮🇳
Wow Emma those look delicious. Haha now I'm craving these Gulab Jaman. I'm Indian and kiwi and this is a dish loads of people love in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. I have these desserts usually at home because I find homemade recipes the best and even my family's restaurants. Thanks for trying and sharing this lovely Indian dessert recipe with us!
You had 5! Knowing how sweet gulab jamuns are, it just shows how delicious they must have been😁. I am drooling!
These look really good! I'm so glad you decided to try and make Gulab Jamun, it's one of my favourite mithais, along with Rasgulla 😋 Love from India 🇮🇳🥰
I learnt a lot of sweet recipes from you. Thanks for making my favourite dessert. Love from 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
They look so good you did awesome making them👍🏼
You can soak it overnight 100% there’s no issue. It’s better to store it in the fridge and keep it submerged in the syrup. I like to heat mine up a bit in the microwave because I think they’re better when warm. I take one or two out in a little bowl and pour some syrup over top and microwave in bursts of 10 till I see small bubbles. You can check the temperature by touching it too, because if it gets too hot then it might crumble or burn from the inside You can eat it at any temperature for sure but when you eat it with ice cream it’s supposed to be warm, like when you eat warm brownies with ice cream, it’s a fusion cuisine version of that.
As a pakistani i thank you for trying this recipe ❤️❤️ . It looks really delicious 😋
I'm a Bangladeshi and these are one of our most delicious sweet delicacies. I never dared to even try to make these goodies myself... I just love to munch on the readymade ones 😊. I'm surprised how easily you prepared them and how gorgeous they look. I bet they even tasted better. Best of luck for more of your future sweet expeditions.💕

As a Bangladeshi it's feels emotional that my country is mentioned.. ❤❤🇧🇩🇮🇹 Thank you 😘😘
You did an awesome job, not many Indians can make it at home... totally love it..and yes, have them warm with vanilla ice cream...it rocks...and you look pretty in your morning look... Emma you are an amazing Baker and am sure you are gonna cook up a lot of wonderful recipes easily....
Happy New Year Emma I hope you hv a good Christmas nd your family looking forward for 2023 God bless
Great work Emma well done, looks delicious
You did an excellent job with gulab jamun 🎉 if u wanna try them again, then while frying , continuously stir with a tablespoon. That's the trick to get that colour
So glad you could try out making Gulab Jamun! My mom and I make these when we're craving for something sweet and delicious, so I truly treasure this sweet and the whole dough making process. Hoping to see you try more Indian recipes! We love all of your videos that showcase quick yet effective recipes! 🥰
Always love your recipes and tried lot of them.
Hi, Emma watching your videos. I am glad/thankful that you mentioned all countries where gulag jamun is famous. Please try Turkish desserts next.
Yes u can have it hot, cold or room temperature ....my fav
Brace yourself, dear Emma... You're about to be bombarded with comments that read something along the lines of "That looks great, Emma! I'm from (insert sovereign state) and it would be soooooo great if you could make a video cooking one of my favorites, (insert obscure national dish)!" 😘
I love these, always order them with my butter chicken, I never thought about making them myself, seems complicated 🤯
As someone who makes and sells these, yours look so good.. I'm super impressed.. and yes you can have them hot, room temp or cold.. I don't even have a preference - they're all good in their own right. If you were to make it again, yeah a bit more colour would be good.. they get a bit lighter after soaking and swelling.. so getting them on the darker side is alright.. and the syrup, I'd get a pot as opposed to a pan.. give them space.. also if you're storing them, keep in the syrup because the centre becomes dry if kept out of the syrup ☺️
This is like the only dish that can give me a food-gasm... totally works every time..
Great job..when storing its better to keep them submerged in the syrup rather than pile them up, this keep them moist and hydrated.. I would keep them in the fridge but let them come to room temperature before u eat them as that way they are softer, straight from the fridge gives you a firmer texture, its up to individual taste really.. Also great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.. Oh, when adding the flour its better to use only as much as you need to bind and form into a dough.. Lesser the better!
Emma!!! So happy to see a South Asian recipe here. There are so many great desserts from my native India. Would love to see bebinca here someday... 😁😇👍
Those look amazing! I wonder what they taste like.
🙋You made this so beautifully👍 Lots of love🫶🌹
The guilty look and excited laughter at the very end of the video was so adorable!
YOU NAILED IT!! Ily!
Love Emma with her 😃 giggles. Gulab juman is soo tasty with vanilla ice cream
For winter we eat these hot and in summer we cool them in the fridge and I love them all the time this is my fav from sweet and moti Choor Laddu too and from halwa i love barfi and carrots halwa and egg halwa eeeeeeee😆😆😆 my favorites i love them so much
That looks good 👍.. hot gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream is a must in (most)Indian weddings...u must try! And u don't need to cook them in the syrup .just put them immediately in hot syrup.
Your Gulab jamun looks delicious. You should try making onde-onde from Malaysia. A very simple and quick dessert to make.
Just warm them and then try with cold vanilla ice cream they will taste heaven🤤
Trying to make desserts of other cultures almost always take time and effort. When I started making cakes from scratch, I was overwhelmed by the steps involved too. Like... The hot and humid climate in summers isn't exactly suitable for whipping cream, and I can sense that you kinda felt the same kind of frustration with these gulab jaman, but the end result is so good. I've only made gulab jaman a couple of times when I was very young but I might try them again. The tradition for gulab jaman and other Indian sweets is that they're given as a treat when you want to give a good news to someone. Like, if you've passed an exam or an interview, take some gulab jaman home to break the news to your family. If you're going to a new parents home or a newlyweds' home, take some sweets with you etc.
Yes u can have them hot or cold! I cant decide which way I like more lol
As a Bangladeshi 🇧🇩I'm so happy to see you making them!!!! 💐 They look delicious!!! I love your cooking so much.
Hey Emma! Do try kheer and shahi tukrrey...u would love them too suerly!
Omg - this is one of my favorite desserts!!
Im from ph and this was the first Indian dessert that Ive ever tasted
The way you prepared is what's done by thousands of people in this region. No lack of authenticity here. Great job!!!
They look great!

They're so good!! Much love hun!❤️
Yess Emma once i saw the notification of this video i was soo excited and also yes you can eat them cold or hot { I prefer mine hot tho 😋🤤} and you can soak them overnight but growing up i wasn't patient 🫣🤭 so i would just chuck them in the syrup and serve them, so i was kinda shocked that you were actually supposed to soak them longer 🤭😅
Ohhh girl you are a genius 😍 loved it ❤️👌🏻 awesome . Love your recipes
fun tip: if you cannot taste cardamom then you can take out the seeds inside and crush them into a powder. Then pour that powder into the syrup which will give a much stronger flavor. And don't go overboard with powdered cardamom as it is stronger.
Wow Emma .. That looks delicious😋
Gulab jamun is really loved and famous in Pakistan. Thanks for this recipe it's so easy. I am gonna try this tomorrow.
