In the late 70's they often started with Riff Raff. One of my faves and crowds always loved it. Fantastic live. You can see Bon already trying to lift the crowd right out front of stage as Angus begins with that classic riff. Best Blue Collar Band ever. Saw them three times in Sydney and once in Paris and Nymegen. Always baffled me how they became more popular elsewhere in the world after Bons death, and less popular back home in Australia as we assumed it was all over for them, despite the success of the following album. Noone liked the new guy Brian. Good vid nicely done. Its simple yet played so well. They were amazingly tight and so much power.

Apparently when Angus was young, the band would go to their house. Angus, still in his school uniform, would jump all around the house showing them what he could do. When he joined the band he kept the school uniform. He plays the guitar he does because his hands are so small. When Brian Johnson joined the band he was the tallest member, at like 5'3".

Love your passion for what some would call easy to play rock riffs for beginners to start out on...... But! playing so tight and precise is a hell of a lot harder than it sounds. Angus Young in his prime, playing so accurately with wonderful vibrato in his solos while moving all over the stage in his own unique high energy way........... WOW!! Such a high level visual performance throughout an entire gig is something we have not seen before or since from any other rock lead guitarist. I remember been devastated when I heard the news of Bon Scott's death. Thank goodness the band kept their momentum going and made their big breakthrough with Brian Johnson. But I don't think they could have pulled it off if something terrible had happened like a car crash that left them having to try and replace a one off lead guitar player and entertainer like Angus.

Highway to Hell was their big breakthrough. It was what got America's attention. Bon spent 5 gruelling years touring relentlessly with the band. Bon paid all the dues, don't you think? Your comment reads like Brian was the catalyst that sparked success and I, respectfully, disagree.

@@cathyaldridge4550 100% agree with you. What I meant to imply was that the band could not have continued building upon the level of success already achieved with Bon if they had not had Angus to feature in the visual spotlight. As for BIB. It has Bon's songwriting fingerprints all over it and nobody will ever convince me otherwise. I actually own a couple of early 70's singles and albums by Geordie. When I listen to any of them they have the total opposite affect of listening to any 70's AC/DC album, ie, I turn Geordie down and then usually turn it off before the end of the song. Bon is my Rock'n'Roll hero.

Bon and Brian aren't coke and pepsi. They're coke and New Coke. Once Bon's notebook was all used up, AC/DC was no more for all practical purposes.

These guys were poor, working class rockers, who spent years on the Aussie pub circuit. If a band didn't impress those crowds, they would throw beer at you, or leave the gig. Angus used to come from school to the bands jam sessions.

Your not even close, slow down mate! You call yourself a guitar teacher even when your listening to the real thing it sounds nothing like them, slow down your just thrashing the song mate bloody hell? They aren't a thrash metal band there rock n roll just calm down a bit ok! That's where the sound is, if you where my teacher I'd be very disappointed as you are too fast! It's all good and well to show off your speed but you have to do it right. The internet is full of people that do AC/DC wrong, slow it down and get the groove of rock n roll!

Just my opinion but a guitar without its head is beyond ugly. That kiesel is one butt ugly guitar. Just my taste of course.
