@@andrebenoit404 There was nothing unscripted about it. Random people don't walk though GOTD performances, and the guy said play something of your own (after looking over at someone to the right) and Lemmo also immediately launched into one of his songs. And you liked your own comment. :)

Lemmo reminds me little of a younger Michael J Fox. And that last piece is probably an "oldie from back home". And we are the kids thats gonna love it. ;)

You can tell by the way he plays he listened to every Van Halen album ever made over and over as a kid. He's really really good. I was sad when Mark left now I really don't care anymore.
I was so stoned last night, I thought I was tripping when lemmo played that last song. I’m putting this video in my inspiration playlist.

"Do something of yours" then Lemmo's eyes suddenly blazed...
Well, that escalated quickly. At first, I was thinking "man, those P-90's sound good," and then homeboy told Lemmo to play something of his own and everything just went to a whole new level! Lemmo is amazing! Mental note: never challenge Lemmo at guitar; he will make you embarrassed to think you ever knew how to play!
The thing I love most about Lemmo is that he has such a broad depth to his playing. He is excellent in so many facets of guitar. Perfect for this job but also just such a joy to watch in general. If he just had a beat up used no name guitar and a bedroom I would watch every video.
We should start a GoFundMe to buy this Les Paul for Lemmo. That golden beast has his name all over it.

I saw one mistake, but he didn’t stop just kept going full force. That’s the difference between a good guitar player and a great one like Lemmo.
Lemmo that last song blew me away! And that critic was in the restroom cleaning his drawers.
This may be the very best GOTD ever. You made me love Les Paul Goldtops even more. Side note: My facial expressions/reactions during this had to be priceless.
And Lemmo says.. “Hold my beer, challenge accepted!”
Lemmo, you owe me a new phone. Mine melted while watching you play.
Mr. Lemmo, you got Jimi Hendrix’s attention in Heaven today. This is one of the coolest pieces I have heard you play. Congratulations on a phenomenal performance. Well done Sir, a thousand Thank You’s. 🙏🎸👏💪👍✌️😎
Brah wanted to see that guy’s face at the end so bad.
Someone poked the bear. I wonder if the guy had any idea THAT was going to happen!!!
What a coincidence, I just bought myself a ‘69 Les Paul. I can attest, the ‘68 and early-mid ‘69 Les Pauls are I a league of their own.
Thank you, random British Indian guy, for inspiring a great GOTD!
And every critic out there went ”what the fuck am I going to say now?” 😂 Awesome job Lemmo! I don’t think you need to worry about the Whiskey gig with those chops 👍🤟👏
My guy Lemmo I cannot stop loving his guitar chords progression 🥰🎸❤️🔥

that last jam was incredible michael, your the reason i subbed to this channel your playing is inspiring
His playing is sooo musical. Prodigies are a dime a dozen. Micheal plays with such skill and speed, but also incredible passion and musicality. I could gush on for paragraphs, instead I’ll just say “WoW”. ... and he seems like a sweet and humble guy. I wish you nothing but success and happiness. Thx for sharing your gift with us.
Hands down. Best GOTD ever. You are something else Michael. Mind blown. Thank you.

Now that’s how to make a point . Brilliant

Cost cutting (and also weight cutting) led to the “new” Les Paul, which Mr. Paul hated as they didn’t ask him for input on the changes, so it was renamed “SG” (those early Les Paul labeled SG style guitars are rare and pricey). Cost cutting (again) led to the “pancake body” in 1969.
@sizematters5142
4 жыл бұрын
@@joermnyc They say he threw a fit in 1962 when the Les Paul SG first was introduced. He did nit like the guitar at all because of the way it was made. The neck joint on the guitars is weak. 60s SGs have a thin body and they should have used a neck through body design in my opinion, but did not because of cost. They really are cheaply made and they put Les Pauls name on them without asking him first. The wood they used in the 60s is what makes them so nice! It is a super light guitar with a Les Paul neck but the tremolos they used really sucked. I dont blame him for being pissed. Les Pauls are expensive to produce and they are still expensive to produce. Strats & Teles are not as expensive to produce! Ever see a single cut Gibson with a sideways tremolo? No because those tremolos suck.
@sizematters5142

Fact Gibson guitars made in the 50s & 60s with 1 pickup cost half as much as a 2 pickup model. There was no Custom Shop, you had to have it custom ordered.
@mattrogers1946
4 жыл бұрын
@@joermnyc Les also didn't like the neck dive of the SG. It's also been said Les was recently divorced from Mary Ford and wanted his name take off the guitar so he wouldn't have to share any royalties.
