Started working at Neversoft at the tail end of making Aerosmith and was there till the end. That was all the mainline games, Metallica, Greatest Hits, and..... Band Hero. Our boss actually had a huge rant over the loudspeaker about Bobby Kotick the day the news came in with language I'm not comfortable posting.

As a guitar hero player who learned on controller, Train Kept A Rollin on expert is one of those super satisfying songs to finally beat.

@16BitOG Unfortunately, I grew up poor, so my older brother got the guitar controller as we could only afford one. I had to learn on controller growing up. Now, in my mid 20s I own a guitar and finally get to experience guitar hero as it's meant to be played. I can't lie I'm still better on controller by a fair amount

@16BitOG He bought the ps2 and he bought the guitar after saving for 3 summers of work and chores. I let him play with the guitar since it was his. I used it when he wasn't home as it wasn't mine.

even though i have never played it, this game holds a special place in my heart because i got all three of my guitars second hand for clone hero, and two out of the three are aerosmith les pauls for the wii

Rock the 80’s was still made by Harmonix at the time and was before the era of DLC via the internet. Games such as The Sims, WoW, CoD, Rollercoaster Tycoon, etc all had games released as expansions. I’m not saying to give 80’s a pass either but at the time, Guitar Hero was only a PlayStation game until April 2007. 80’s came out in July 2007 so they were both developed at the same time before console DLC became the norm.

I got a copy of Aerosmith for Christmas this year. I know people have some gripes with this specific entry, but it still has a cozy spot in my top 5 GH/RB games, just feels like a nifty, easier side-game to play when you're tired of trying to grind out FGFCs. Also I really, really love Aerosmith, so I'm partially biased.

Really loving these rhythm game videos. The GH3 video was a total nostalgia bomb. Keep up the great work.

I remember renting this game, getting all of the hardest achievements during that week, and having no reason to buy it. Felt like a DLC to 3

i like your channel, you dont over exaggerate. the reality is achivements are mostly boring or grindy. its a nice change of pace from other youtubers that clickbait saying " ect ect was impossible" rn im doing midnight club la, but since some cheevs are online i have my freind on 360 helping me out

really digging the guitar hero videos man. hope you cover metallica! i think that was the best of the band focused ones and really could have been the end of the series overall.

I can’t even see the yellow notes sometimes with Joe Perry’s fretboard. You have to use it as well

I play just fine with a wireless controller and any fretboard I don't know why people complain about the fretboard especially Joes

​@@SNOWDUDE13I play with 0 ms delay with a 32" CRT, PS2 and PS3, it's even better wired with PS2, but yeah I just really don't get complaining about fretboards, like I was watching Acais full game GHIII 125% FC grind and he would reset multiple times to avoid " bad" fretboards in Quickplay instead of just playing in career

@@rynomclaughlin1595 it wasn't the latency I was referring to. The design of the board would lead to the notes blending into it, especially the hopo ones since they were brighter. It was very infuriating.

I was attempting the endless setlist on Rock Band 2 as a vocalist. I got to song 76 of 84 (Shackler's Revenge) when the XBOX 360 auto disconnected from the Internet, which ruined the achievement. I had to unplug from Internet & redo the whole thing which took a little over 6 hours. About 11 hours for both attempts.

My batteries died at the 3rd last song and never emotionally recovered since then

This was the first guitar hero I ever played. I would have been 7 or 8 or so which also means it would have been my first time hearing most of those songs too.

Long Live Guitar Hero!

GH: Aerosmith was the first GH game I got the full 1000/1000 on. I just recently finished getting 1000/1000 on GH3 and I'm glad to be done with that. Sadly the servers for Rock Band 2 are shut down so I can't get the FGC due to the online achievements :/

The Rock Band servers should still be up on Xbox (they were run by Microsoft themselves), the shut down only affected PS3 players

I'll definitely cover metallica although I think it will be broken up into 2 videos. There are a lot of band achievements that I likely won't unlock for a long time. Also the creeping death achievement is VERY hard. Closest I have managed is 2000 points off :'(

If the songs wasn’t boring for me I probably would’ve 100% the hold Career mode on expert. I was lucky enough to want to beat it on hard mode and get the most half achievements on it b4 I got super bored.

I remember begging my mom to get it for me, when she finally did I beat it within a day. I was distraught with buyers remorse and felt bad I wasted my mom’s money on it. 😅

For me it was World Tour that seem to Spell Doom for Guitar Hero! They kept Releasing New Games Saturating the Whole Thing until GH Van Halen considered to be the Last and they Cancelled all the Others that were still in Development! I can Everyone was in a Bit of a Shuffle after everything was Cancelled!

Plan on it! Not sure when exactly.. but it's high up on the list.. never played it before!

The game by itself is pretty good. If you haven't played any GH and you just picked that one you'll have a great time. But after battling your way out of hell and defeating Lou in GH3, GHA does feel like a massive step back.

Yes I do know there are much much better guitar hero games this will always be my favorite just because it was the first one I played so I love it

That's quite the contrast to the GH3 achievements, this is probably the game i've played the least on the xbox 360 anyways, not that it's bad just pretty underwhelming in terms of content

It always made no sense to me why dude looks like a lady wasnt in the game. It wouldve been fine if they wanted to save some songs for later games so they didnt have to repeat somgs but it didnt even appear in the series at all :/

I actually thought Rock the 80's was the first bad game. I remember getting it on launch and feeling severely underwhelmed.

I’d say 80s is a slightly biggest asset recycler, mostly because there’s more actually new content in Aerosmith. That being said the biggest asset recycler is absolutely Smash Hits, that game is a mess.

I think so, minus GH Live! GHTunes and a few other services are down now though leaving a few achievements unobtainable across the series :(

My one soight confusion with this video is that you said The achievement for getting 325k on "Train kept A rollin" is the only song specific achievement in Guitar Hero. Doesn't GH3 have an Achievement for Passing TTFAF on Expert?

"No More No More", Aerosmith's best song, not making Guitar Hero is particularly disappointing.

...Did you call Tom and Brad "ex-Aerosmith members?" They are still in the band. Brad did leave for a few years in the 80s, but he came back in 1984 and has been there ever since.

@@JForJackPlays No biggie! 😄 They do have three ex-guitar players: Ray Tabano was their first rhythm player, only for about a year. He was replaced by Brad, and Ray moved to running their fan club. Jimmy Crespo, who was brought in to finish guitar work on the Night In The Ruts album when Joe Perry left during its recording, and he then stayed on as full time guitarist until Joe's return. Rick Dufay, who was Brad's replacement until Brad returned. It's a shame none of these other guitarists got any representation in the game! I mean, they are small parts of the band's history by comparison... But they're important! Ray was a founding member, and helped promote the group in its early days. And Jimmy and Rick kept the group alive during one of its most tumultuous periods! Rick even helped reunite the band by, as he put it, "committing career suicide," and suggesting to Steven Tyler that he should reconcile with Joe Perry. So all three of those guys are very important to the band's history, for sure! Anyhoo... Can ya tell Aerosmith is my favorite band? 🤣 It was this game that introduced me to them, and I've been hooked ever since!

I hope you play Guitar Hero Metallica if it has any achievements just the thought of you playing All Nightmare Long again after GH3 😂

Aerosmith is one of the last games I need for my physical collection, but I'm not exactly clambering to play it, it's one of the weaker games in the series. I *do* like how they included the single player version of the guitar battle on-disc, World Tour didn't bother. But screw that Joe Perry fretboard! It looks even worse playing it on Wii. Also, getting the "Jailbait" achievement for playing in the high school venue is uhh... questionable! Clearly _someone_ at Neversoft knew about Steven Tyler!

@@JForJackPlays I’m stuck on Wii so no achievements for me, but I mainly just play the careers and switch between games every now and then. Rock Band’s in-game “achievements” are very enjoyable though! The Beatles has some EVIL ones!

Never cared about Aerosmith and once this idea of band-focused games started it was the end for me. GH was great for the song diversity.

Yup, GH3 Aerosmith Edition (yeah, I like to call the game that way because why not?) got easy achievements overall, Co-op was not too demanding.

Guitar Hero 3 was the beginning of the end for me.

@@JForJackPlays I know I’m in the minority, but I hated the engine changes compared to GH2 at the time. Also, the song choices largely weren’t for me. But I was an Uber Guitar Hero fan at the time circa 2007 or whatever, and I just felt let down by GH3. I felt like they made the engine easier, but then just overcharged everything to compensate.

This game came way too late. Aerosmith was well beyond their heyday and while they were a recognizable name, they were no longer a big enough name to really get people interested enough to want to buy a game with only their songs.

I absolute hate Aerosmith, so this game was an easy skip for me
