@@el_lotus7 what's happening is , the person who's playing has been playing expert so much that his muscles are more tuned to fast approaching notes,along with the fact that they are more accurate with the music. Easy on the other hand is too slow for the song and his muscle memory, hence making it difficult for him

the expert gameplay is a bot because it holds whatever the last note was and only changes right when the next note comes, you can only see during the breaks though.

I like how the song itself has a meta quality to it playing it on GH3. "Through the fire and the flames, we carry on" The song itself is encouraging you to persevere and succeed in spite of the challenge.

The 3 songs I couldn't beat on expert was One, Free Bird, and Through the fire and flames. I was in 7th-8th grade. I haven't played in 13 years and I wont be able now. I dont understand why I was so good. lol

Historically, rythm games have had 4 levels of difficulty. An easy one, which is so easy it tends to even desync from the song, a hard one which is so ridiculously hard it tends to add even 4 notes per actual song note, one below it which is the most loyal to the song, and one below it which is there because the easy one is so easy it just smooths out the progression. If it has more than 4 difficulties, the rest are there to further smooth out the progression. This song is so freaking hard that you can't go lower than Expert without taking something out.

Not gonna lie, playing the song on easy as a kid hit different, felt as if I was on top of the world

I play on Medium difficulty usually. But as epic as Through the Fire and Flames is, it's still pretty hard even on lower difficulties. I have only passed it on Medium a few times. But I like how when you beat Career mode, you play this song during the credits without any possibility of failing the song.

I was in 8th grade when this came out, took the whole middle school by storm. You weren’t cool until you had the Inhuman Achievement. I’ll never forget beating this song on expert for the first time, having that achievement pop up on my 360… truly one of my favorite gaming eras

I remember when we were kids my brother wanted to 100% everyone in the game and he had run this one so much he could play the entire opening with closed eyes on the hardest difficulty

I really wish they gave easy a blue note as the last note in the song. Would make this song even more legendary to have the only blue note on easy in the entire series.

I beat this song once on expert, and even though I've continued to play guitar hero and clone hero to this day, i swear it was a fluke.

This was a hella cool video to see how different it gets as the difficulty goes up. Good job man!

As the hardest song in the game (you get it during the credits when you beat the final boss, and the rock meter is absent), yeah, the Medium chart looks like it's full of Hard-level stuff except without orange notes.

The gap between easy and medium difficulty is the addition of the blue button, that's why it seems so hard. Which is why the transition from medium to hard is super difficult, since it adds yet another button. Going from hard to expert is less troublesome lol

Yep, just a few weeks ago i thought i'm gonna be stuck on medium difficulty, now i can play some hard and even fc'd a few songs.

IIRC, the last non-DLC song to be FCd in GH3 was this song ... on Hard. It was FCd on Expert before Hard. Not because Hard is more difficult but because it's more difficult than people who typically play Hard are used to and the people who typically play Expert don't play on Hard. Basically, one of the top players in GH3 just noticed that no one had ever FCd it on Hard, so he decided to be the first.

EASY: A bit tricky, but I'll make it.😕 NORMAL (MEDIUM): Wow, this is really tough.😬 HARD: C'mon-c'mon-c'mon, don't give up now! I can't lose!😠 EXPERT: ..........This is impossible... 😡🔥 Anyway, nice to see the differences!

Whats funny is that I've beaten this on medium using just a Wii remote and I think that's a good feat

These games would have been more fun if the Easy and Medium charts also used blue and orange notes

Easy looks to be more challenging than normal. Mostly because the rhythms don't lineup as well as the higher difficulty versions

Hard is the perfect balance. It's challenging but doable. Where expert definitely requires a ton of practice. Hard only took me 5 times to get used to but I've never mastered expert.
