Thanks for the video! I just got mine and extra batteries today. Hoping you can help with a stupid question. How the hell do you charge these batteries? Mine didn't come with any sort of charger or adapter. Do you just put them in the Spark Live while it's plugged in?

Got mine Friday. Just getting into it. I’ve been using a Spark Go since it came out. I play multiple instruments. So I will be using it for guitar, bass, electric wind instrument, electric drums, vocals. Also a Bluetooth speaker in my rv. I got the battery as well. Good explanation video btw. Thanks.

Not that I’m aware of… It’s still very much an amp.

I'm a stay at home guitar player. Me playing live shows s a thing of the past, I'm 44 years old. 150Watts would have been useful live, I think it's pretty cool, I don't see myself using it though.

I use it at really low volumes to practice... Even through my different synths through it so I can play in the living room and mess with sounds.

Can You use the out puts for an in ear system? If You are using the app for guitar and You want to switch between sounds (clean/dirty) do You have to fiddle with Your phone ?

yes, PG sells one and Airstep sells one made for Spark that seems to offer even more options. You can switch between presets, start/stop backing tracks, etc. I've only glanced at them, don't really need them since I just play around at home, but on stage they would be helpful. And no cables, all wireless. You have to disconnect your phone/tablet from the amp to make them work, something to keep in mind. But 4 (or 8 for the Live) presets should probably work for most.

you can add a spark go to channels 3/4 for extra guitar/bass channels with full effects

No you can’t. Well, you can, but not in stereo. 3 and 4 are conected in one mono a/d converter, so you can input channels 3 and 4, but they wont be separated and reproduced stereo, rather they will be summed into mono. That’s the reason I’m returning mine. So, this is 3 channel amp, not 4 channel.

Any white noise with nothing plugged in? Wondering if it has the same issue as the Spark Cab. Thanks.

me too I have the Spark Cab and it's annoying...... in a live situation with a band it's ok but alone in even a home studio all you want to do is turn it off when you're not playing.

I have a hard time believing this won't get drowned out by live drums ?

It seems this amp can do about anything but the dishes! 😂 So I was wondering to get this, and also use ot as a rehearsal amp, and then I learned about the DI... So I was wondering, if our drummer laid down a drum track, could I play that over the amp via a DAW on laptop and record 2 guitars, 1 bass and vocals over it directly into the DAW through the amp? That would be insane...

for guitar i can see how it could be used with a live band. All the tech is great but I have doubts that it can be used as a bass amp with a live drummer . 150 watts and 6 inch speakers , even dedicated bass amps / combos struggle with anything less than an 8 inch speaker . I wanna beleive this amp can do it , so many great features ,, any bass players had any experience using it with a drummer ?

I'm in a house, but don't crank it when I practice, so def yes. Sounds just fine, if I were a new shopper and thinking about this one or the 40, I'd go for the Live. Love my 40, but the Live is just a tad larger with so much more to offer and if you want to crank it, you can. The 40 can get "house" loud easily, the Live has your neighbors dancing (or calling the cops), I'm very happy with mine.

So, you reckon the Spark is a toy??? Having owned a few katanas, a THR30W, a Hotone Pulze, a couple of Catalysts (inc the 200 watter), yet to me, the Spark tops the practice/bedroom amps.

Nah, I think this one is a great tool for rehearsals/ small venues (coffee shops, 100-150 people max venues)… It’s powerful and loud, can be dialed in to sound however you want

have you used the amp as a interface? I have some of their other amps and the USB performance suuuuuuuuucked. latency and audio dropouts. Also you get the most out of their products using the app which now after an update is now crashing. It is all awesome when it all works but look up their other products and prepare for the highs and lows of app based sound production.

I am not current on today's electronics. I am an old fart. I am looking for something battery-powered and compact that will support a guitar and a mandolin and two microphones. Will channels 3-4 support two microphones? My wife and I like to go to bluegrass jams in our area and play and sing. We are out of touch with electronics for the most part.
