Yeah, I was really disappointed with this demo. I wanted to hear the guitar not the effects.

Nice review of that reverb pedal. Sounds great. Next time try turning if off and review the guitar instead. This was pointless.

I totally agree. We all know the different fuzzy tones, pedals, etc. sound like. But we want to hear the guitar!

I have a 1967 Starfire and I love it. This one looks less chunky and more playable but I miss the mojo in the new model. Thanks for yet another fantastic to the point video. I should subscribe to the magazine.

Can you please review all guitars dry with each pick up first before adding effects? It is very challenging to hear the nuances of an instrument through a video on youtube without effects as it is. Thanks

Yeah, unfortunately the general public has lost appetite for clean tones. While so many of these vintage inspired models now have superb clean tone that let the player really express. Tis a shame.

Why the reverb sound. I thought the idea was the guitar, not the amplification.

I agree Jorge..i feel like i'm listening to a £500 effects pedal..I mean it was awesome sounding reverb but I don't think it gave a true picture of what the guitar actually sounds like..it should be played through a clean amplifier with zero effects

Adibarum biggest problem with all demonstrators is using Pedals and Amps you don’t really know what the instrument is going to be like at home !

Great demo. Even acoustic guitars need a quality mic to sound good on recorded demos so I don’t expect people to record an electric guitar unplugged. If it’s not the pedal used than what about the (usually expensive) amp? I agree hearing clean sounds is a must but that’s pretty much it. These are teasers, if GAS gets triggered go and try the guitar yourself

To me the nut width is "a must know". I wonder if a Bigsby could be mounted to it (with or without a Vibramate) without threatening the top and TV Jones T-Armonds would be an easy swap. It certainly looks fabulous and makes me miss my SFIII.

I don't know the nut width but seeing as Starfire III's use a Guildsby based on a B6, there's no need for a bigsby with a tension bar - so no drilling. You'd just have holes leftover in the top from the stop bar tailpiece. From what I've seen this guitar is semi hollow like a Starfire V, not fully hollow like a III. That means that the area around the pickups probably isn't routed out except for the stock pickups because of the center block. I can't remember if DeArmond mount T-Armonds have the long polepieces/magnets like vintage DeArmonds, if so then they'd probably not fit without routing.

These are great guitars yet they increased the nut width of the necks,,,

Sounds and looks nice. I would prefer block inlays, but that’s just me. The action looked a bit high for the guitarist, but still great video.
