I just downloaded the game on PS4. I am loving the game and I am glad to see someone doing a playthru building a character, thanks for explaining the mechanics to a noob, 😂

Man, this brought back some memories I didn't know I had. I played this game, only really made progress on the witch. I really like her voice lines, and that lady who calls you "not-a-cockroach". And I broke the scroll wheel on a mouse because for some reason I had arc lightning bound to that rather than something sensible like right click.

I just wish POE wasn't so 1 hit KO kind of game, that you can easily kill stuff and just as easily die in one hit. Recently when I played D2 a bit I saw how much more fun is the right balance between monster and player power.

summoner can map in 4 link, but a tabula is gfg for them. can go just pure physical skeletons and wreck everything for no money. Of course that's not the top tier but great starting out.

Try your build out and enjoy yourself. Once you hit a brick wall look up a guide and steamroll the content.

That's quite a range. Honestly like trypan says, try something until you hit a wall and then check a guide. Or look at a guide from the start and do what you want that's close to it but different. The nice thing about POE is a lot of skills and builds are viable for at least a while!

Got a Tabula while on Act 2, but other than that it seems very hard to get the high socket-link gears anything I look up from any guide is like 15c. Really hoping I can get enough reset points to fix the mistakes I made early on as well.

A fair estimate for 6 linking is, no joke, 1500 fusings. Don't be afraid to settle for a 5 link. A great strat is to have a 4-5 link weapon/chest piece while you work on your 6 link, which you keep in your inventory. Good luck

I'd really like to see you take on the delirium mechanic in this league/season/whatever. To get the best prizes from it, you *have* to go fast. It really seems up your alley.

Only took a molten strike templar to endgame on this. Was pretty fun but i never played a caster

How does the Slave Driver works?

1:40:19 damage over time isn't the same as damage, malevolence isn't useful at all here (besides the little extra duration on skellys/srs) since your minions aren't dealing damage over time

I can barely even see whats going on

Sooo, I downloaded the game and started a summoner and every room I enter everything instantly dies and I have no clue what I'm doing or what's happening. The game seems to be all about collecting and crafting and then one shotting everything with no danger or attention to get more stuff to craft with to rinse and repeat even ore easily. It's like an idle game for blind people. So, I decided to test that and started a new witch and ignore summons and just get the first AOE spell and a movement spell when the game gives it as a reward and _no_ passive skills allocated and see what gives. This is my second day of PoE. After 1 hour I'm in act 2, with the starter wand and half the time I forget I have 2 life potions. I needed to use them with the butcher and every ordinary monster just gets one shot. Champions take a bit more but with my tankey 140 life I can just facetank them and kill them. This game is a joke. I rather spend my time playing an actual idle game.

@@mindelos1706 Act 3 now, still with no passive skills and only the starter wand and magma orb and flame dash. Don't forget that I only ever played one day being a summoner and that I then started pretty much naked and have only played 2 hours with the new character. I only died twice. Once to some dashing unique monster at the start that I kept missing with my orbs and later I nearly died to a flame archer and I used its organs to summon a stronger version of it between some walls I didn't have much space between to run and the ground closer to the monster wasn't safe either so I couldn't stay close. Sure, I could go faster if I used some of the equip I pick up and used a couple more skills, but running naked is already hardly a challenge. Any equipment or extra skills would just suck all the challenge out of the game. I will probably pick up some flasks so I don't have to tp to town during boss fights so much. With almost 300hp those starter flasks run out before most bosses summon something you can fill your flask with.

@@stylis666 Actually the whole storyline is very easy to get through. There are some bosses that might be a challenge, along with ascendancy trials and labs.

@@Mescherje Sooooo... why play the game? Why is there a storyline? It seems to me that it's just a really long and boring sleepwalk towards the endgame content. Maybe I'll try again when the world record is less than an hour. Then I'm willing to copy their method and bore myself for an hour to check out if the end game content is worth my time. As the game is now, it seems that they could just delete the whole storyline and all the quests and just start at the end with some free skill points.

That's balance for you. Summons literally turn this game into an idle crafting game. For that reason I took up the challenge of getting through the game with only the starter wand an an aeo skill you can get from the first quest. I'm in act two and I can still one shot all normal monsters and kill bosses with only the starter bottles. You can just tank champions and 2 or 3 shot those. I did get ice blink and flame dash and a run bottle. I forgot the name. This is my second day playing and it's already boring.
