The following will be a guided breathwork video where I integrate the Wim Hof Method breathing with the physiological sigh and mindfulness meditation. This video is a follow-up to my last video on the newly released study by Huberman's Lab.
A little bit about myself: I'm Kitaro, a Movement, Kung Fu, and breathwork practitioner and teacher. I don't like fitness. Instead, I like to combine Movement with philosophical thinking - if that makes sense. I try to publish weekly videos. So, if you like my vibe, please subscribe to this channel.

    I've been doing this daily every morning after my Bible study. Thank you for your work! Did y'all know that daily practice will improve your working memory and if done after a learning session it will greatly increase the chance that you'll retain the knowledge?

    What?! How is the sensation not as high? If anything this should give you more intense sensation as it has longer time durations. Maybe you are doing something wrong mate

    I've been following your guided videos and practicing with you for awhile now. A burnout few illnesses and loss well stirred up and slow cooked during the lockdowns. It hasn't been a fun to say the least. Thank you, for You've been there in my journey back to myself. Recovery: as real as they are damage and pain do not define who i am anyone my resilience does. My thanks to you Kitaro and to A. Huberman, this one was powerful. Vicente dancer 54 y.o. dancing and teaching others to dance once again.😂

    Love your meditations man!! I have a severe back injury and have a hard time doing Wim Hoffs, normal pace breath techniques. They are to intense for my spine, so I have been sticking to the slow version found on KZread for a long time now. Until just recently when I found your videos. Your pace, calmness and depth just suits me perfect. Love it. Also love the music! Keep up the good work brother! Much love and all the best🙏💚

    I thank you for your breath work sessions with the deepest gratitude. The combination of breath work, body awareness and meditation is most amazing. I do have a question though. Curious why in all your breathing sessions during the 15 second breath hold you do not instruct to push the air down to your pelvis and then up to your neck then head ?

  • @RickMeijer

    Do I need to follow your rythm? Or do I need to follow my own? I breathe very very (very!) slowly (high co2 tolerance through snorkling and diving a lot maybe?) If I follow along I breathe very shallow, and run out of breath sooner during the pauses. It was a very relaxing session. The bodyscan was amazing, thanks you 🙏

    Hey @KitaroWaga I enjoy your channel. Just two questions that I can not figure out by myself. I have seen many videos from different people including Wim and also read a lot on the subject, but... 1. I do not get if I should inhale through the nose or mouth? 2.during sickens period (cold, flu ..) I skip cold showers but should I change anything to breath work? I usually do 4 rounds of breath work everyday. Thank you very much for your work and for advice, p.

  • @KitaroWaga

    @KitaroWaga

    Жыл бұрын

    Glad you like my channel! Regarding your questions: 1. In general I advice to do the inhale through the nose and the exhale through the mouth. Once someone has a little experience, one can inhale also through the mouth. It will make the breathwork more intense. 2. If your sick, skip the cold showers - yes. But you can still do the breathwork if you adapt it to your conditions. It's no rigid practice. Maybe you need to go slower or even do another protocol like box breathing or the cyclic sighing. There's no one-size fits all solution. Sorry for the unclear answer.

    As always, your videos are just amazing! Thank you for this Video! Sadly, I really struggle to hold my breath for more than 40 seconds to a Minute max, even after 4 rounds.... At what point do I have to go out of retention? Is it at the first contraction of the diaphragm? Could high BP be a cause? Enjoy your Day! Namaste

  • @KitaroWaga

    @KitaroWaga

    Жыл бұрын

    You are so welcome! I just uploaded another "easier" version. Maybe that suits you better. But in general, you should not put too much stress on your breath retention's time. If you urge to breathe, inhale and start the next round earlier. If you feel the contraction of the diaphragm but still keep the breath hold, it's probably a sign to go on with recovery breath. But I for myself try to sometimes push on a little and consciously try to relax again.

    Why is the physiological sigh done at the end of the round instead of the beginning? Wouldn't it make more sense to open the lung sacs in the beginning of each round? Skipped the beginning of the video, maybe i missed the explanation.
