@alex It can be if you don't know what you're looking for. I actually found a steal for a basically complete M40 gas mask kit earlier and bought it for $80. When I get it if it doesn't seal/ work like it should I'll just be able to get a refund for it. I also bought 3 type 80 filters earlier as well to go with it. Looking forward to getting it all Friday - next Wednesday.

Was this 3 years ago? Time goes really fast, Obtaining a S10 just became virtually impossible lately, if not you are offered the fm-12 for about $200 usd

they all cost 5-10 times this at the moment

Ebay gasmasks are so cursed now. I watched this video and got some gasmasks, people were selling GP-5'S soaked in blood.

I bought a SHMS with 2 FP-5 filters for 45$ though the mask was to small for my head. Always check size if its available

I bought my Avon S10 from that multi army surplus seller, it wasn't bad quality and if I remember rightly the price was fairly reasonable, around £34 with a 2007 NATO filter that unfortunately did not come with a seal, although I am mainly a collector not a prepper so it didn't bother me too much .

That's for all the great buying tips. Most of those masks are extremely cheap, compared to what we'd pay in Australia. The exchange rate is a slugger, but the postage costs add up quick, too. I've been looking at a couple of masks that incorporate a face shield, rather than individual eye pieces, for added visibility. They seem to start at about AU$300 (about 157 Pounds) new + postage, from specialist sellers. Because I want it as a "just in case" mask, I have to be certain it's genuine, so that's why I've been concentrating my searches only to brand new masks, from stores, rather than individuals. I'll eventually shorten the list, while making sure the mask isn't going to end up being an expensive paper weight.

Might be a good idea then to see if you can get a very high end industrial mask with the full polycarb face pieces that also are RD40. You can combine them with riot helmets etc for very good protection

@@Weaponsandstuff93 Thanks for the great advice! Polycarbinate would add a level of anti-ballisic to the mask. I have a couple of pairs of Revision military sunglasses that have polycarbonate lenses. They're not cheap, but they give great coverage and could save an eye, if a stone comes flying at my face from the road. It's happened before, where the stone very nearly hit me right in the eye. That's when I decided to upgrade my sunnies.

So where do you get your gas mask? Disclaimer : I am totally joking. But I'm sure someone will still ask in the near future lol.

Over here in Straya, it is next to impossible to get modern gas mask for a reasonable price, or to even get them at all.

Since I live in the USA, S10 gas masks are usually 100-600 dollars (not including shipping prices), depending on the condition. Sadly, in the US, European gas masks can be very expensive, including shipping. EDIT: Some of the cheaper S10s are actually FM12s, and I think that people don't know the difference between an Fm12 and S10, so some of the "S10s" are actually FM12s.

If you could choose an post apocalyptic scenario to live in, and you had to choose one, what event would you choose, and why? hopefully a good one for your next Q/A video

If you use cards on eBay it should be processed through paypal.

I check for cereal numbers on it because once I paid 100$ for an"ultra rare gas mask" and it was a fake gp5 and that was before I knew about gas mask So thank you for pretty much getting my 100$ back

When I type "gas mask" on ebay I barely get any proper mask, mostly just bags and filters. Why doesn't it show things like these for me? Is there so few offers at the time?

The Serbian mask? The filter should be fine but probably expired. Although I didn't think the M2 went into production until the 1990s.

Well you can put a modern FP-5 filter on it or another modern Polish filter and it will be perfectly safe.

Totally depends on the mask, you can find a GP-5 measuring guide online, use that and just figure out if you are small, medium, large and then order the equivalent size and hope it fits.

Not really, a few dog masks were made in WW2, I think a couple of companies make oxygen tents for animals but they probably cost like £1000.
