This was actually very instructive, for me at least. I was thinking about building watercooling, but I wasn't sure in terms of fittings, which one, which brand and type. Now I know. Thank you guys and keep working :-D
Really informative guide and another great video. Really like the look of hard line tubing. Nice one. :)
Great vid guys!!
Mathias Buus Larsen The new enhanced BP multi-link fittings have the same issue as shown for the C47 series with the main o-ring possibly being damaged if you don't prepare the tube & aren't careful. The second o-ring inside the new collar gets put onto the tubing first just like the Primochill design in the video. This is nice as it creates the second seal. Overall size wise, the new fittings are slightly bigger than the C47 which has an outside diameter of 18mm & the new ones are 20mm (for your side-by-side placement on blocks).
Some nice builds and great info on fittings. I have just started modding a copper custom loop and will be using refrigerator copper and regular fittings as the style of my rig allows for non-flashy items to be included. The copper tubing I have had polished and is the star of the show, Still not sure what CPU/GPU blocks to go for yet. cheers guys....
nice guide !!
Great overview. :)
super helpful. thanks!
thanks some good info there
Hey guys, Monsoon has their new EV2 hardline fittings which are taller than their old ones. I found them and was pretty sure they were good for me but especially after I saw Jayztwocents cover them saying they can fit a wide range. Should have them this week and use them in the next few weeks for sure on Cu Tubing
Nice review!

Agreed, we will do an updated version, and hopefully include some more fittings.
Thanks for the video, I am still not sure whether get to these hardline tubing or the Primochill LRT tubing for a mod. These seem like a lot more work compared to LRT tubing.
Look into Swagelok fittings. I just hate o-rings because they degrade/swell and fail over time. These ones are stainless steel ferrules. Expensive to be sure, but worth checking out. I use them on the daily.
If you look up spring type tubing benders they will work on the soft copper tubing and they are sold as a set usually. Not sure of the price since I haven't had to buy one in awhile. They aren't that expensive though and are easy to use once you get the hang of it. Soldering copper isn't that big of a deal either but it can end up looking messy if you aren't careful and the tools needed for that are found in most hardware stores, unlike brazing equipment.

It's a good point on the spring benders. I've got a set of springs, and it was only about $14 I think for a set of 4. I didn't really like using them. I'd prefer to use slightly more rigid copper tubing, instead of the softest, and the springs just don't work for that. If anyone else has them and they work for you, that's good, no need to get a bending tool. It just wasn't for me :) Thanks for the input :)

***** NP. For anyone else looking at the spring benders, the trick to getting them off of the tubing easily is to slightly "overbend" the turn in the tubing. Then straighten it back out to the desired angle. The tubing will push against the inside of the bending spring when you are forming the angle and mostly stay that way if you bring it right to where you need it and stop. It's trying to kink as you bend it, which the spring keeps from happening. This can make it hard to slide the spring off. When you overbend it and adjust it back to where you need it relaxes the tension on the inside of the bender and allows the spring to be slid right off. If it's a tight bend there still may be some difficulty but not nearly as much as if it was gripped by the tubing too. If you do encounter some difficulty getting the spring off you can twist the spring in the opposite direction than the way the wire is wound as you try to pull it off. If you don't know what I mean by the twisting just try to twist and pull in one direction and it might tighten up on the tube so if that happens try twisting it the other way. Twisting it opens the spring diameter up a little to get it past a bad spot. Yanking the spring off if it gets stuck will permanently deform and stretch it out :)
can i just use regular compressions? or do i need to buy separate fittings for hard tubing?
I have a build coming in a case labs th10 and the customer wants all hard tubing.. On the mobo side I plan on using acrylic, but on the PSU side I was thinking on using copper.. With lengths over 15", acrylic seems to brittle/fragile.. And since the PSU side is not on display, copper seems to give me the flexibility and strength I need.. Heck, I could even paint the copper to match the case..

InfinityPCs In that instance, you might even want to consider copper pipe and pipe fittings (the ones that need solder, flux and a blowtorch -- make sure to build that outside the case :)) over the annealed tubing, unless you actually need to bend it. It's a little less expensive and comes as straight lengths instead of in a coil, meaning you don't need to straighten it first.
Lmao at the end there. Thanks for the info once again. Maybe next time u guys can cover reseviors and how much water or dye to use. Let's get a complete guide. Haha. No rush.

Can you review the new bitspower fittings ? Bitspower Enhance Multi-Link

Next round we will make sure we include those. They are a hybrid between the C-47 and the PrimoChill fittings. There is a single O-Ring inside the new fitting, and you have to be careful that you do not damage it when installing.
lol. That was awesome!
i've been using compression fittings for 5 years and never had a leak

Tapering the ends of the pipes is called 'chamfering'.
Can you use any rigid tubing connectors on copper tubing? Or do you have to use specific copper fittings? Kind new to this whole thing.

Hi What is the name of the tank that is in the 120mm grid back at 7:51? By the way, excellent video, very useful, since I am next to assemble my loop with rigid tube.

sorry for th newbie question but what are the fittings used for. I am planning to build gaming computer and about a week ago (from your previous videos) I learned about rigid acrylic tubing and since then I have been learning from your videos but I saw this video and I am not sure what the fittings are used for. can regular CAR ant-freeze be used in the loop as a coolant?? ..
@jassilamba80

Yes, but its normally not recommended due to high corrosive properties of those fluids. Good ole water alone will give you better performance, when compared to anti freeze.
