Might be a typo or overlook, but if the next word starts with e, u, i, o, a or j, then you say AN not A, since it doesnt sound right to say something like a apple, instead of an apple. remaining letters are written and pronounced like "a" since an television doesn't sound too good either. I was struggeling with this a while ago since I'm not native english. And yes, this applies between commas, too.
