I didn’t really learn anything new. If I knew the song I instantly recognized it and could name what it’s from in 1-2 seconds. If I never played the game or never heard the song, I might be able to guess what the game was like 1 out of 10 chance (like I did with God of War).

@@grimsleeper5945 Yeah I still have to play it and all the other Elder Scrolls games. There are still so many games I haven't played. I grew up with only the wii then wii u and switch. I bought a ps4 pro in 2017 and till then I played a lot of third party games and also Sony first party games because I only knew Nintendo games as a kid and teenager.

Man I'm so glad there's finally a video that scratches my itch for watching the same 15 seconds of sonic 06' gameplay over and over again.

I'm surprised Yakuza was here. I immediately screamed in my head, "Yakuza!". I fell in love with the series so quickly, and songs like Baka Mitai and Judgment became some of my most favorite karaoke songs in the series. Everyone knows Yakuza, but it never gets the amount of appreciation it truly deserves

"The Final Battle" from Elden Ring was composed by Tsukasa Saitoh. I have no idea who Rozen + Reven are, but they had nothing to do with Elden Ring's soundtrack

While I do appreciate GSS (every operatic song I was going for elden ring, dark souls or fire emblem), would've preferred Lord of a Dead Empire or Twilight of the Gods. But that's just me liking Echoes more than 3H.

I like how they had to jump in one winged angel to get to the sephiroth part in 15 seconds.

I didn't expect hear my childhood (Heroes of Might and Magic). Big respect for this!

Tetris and the FNAF music box aren't purely video game songs though, both existed before the medium. Also no Persona or Touhou is a surprise.

Dude, i was praying, PRAYING, that i would hear rooftops at that exact point in the song. When i heard it in hard i verbally cheered. I loved that mission so much and adored the song.

This was easy! Every song was from Sonic 06 you could clearly hear the level music playing as sonic runs in the Green Hill Zone.

That Heroes of Might and Magic 3 theme was a deep cut from my childhood and caught me completely off guard! Good work.

To be fair the link between worlds over world theme is also Hyrule fields theme in other Zelda games and technically the Pokemon red Blue and green opening is the same as green only came out in Japan us in the west got blue

32:26 I heard this in all of the Cyperpunk memes I watched so I thought it was from Cyberpunk lol Great video, although I wouldn't say any of the tiers are any harder than the other ones. I struggled to recognize the themes from JRPGs the most.

I was worried I would only know 2 of the hard songs, but I came back strong by the end. Including Golden Sun and Heroes 3 was beautiful.

Seeing Hard 26 in here was refreshing. Sadly only 56 points in total.

I'm in the same situation. Child of the 80s. I hardly played any nintendo games, I started on PC DOS games like wolfenstein 3D and prince of persia on floppies lol. But I've been collecting game soundtracks since 2000 and it's my hobby :)

My score (note: based on recognizing the universe of the game, not the exact title, it would be much lower if it was the exact title) Easy: 19 (exact title would be around 10-12) Medium: 6 guesses for 12 points. But if we consider I Wanna Be The Guy as a legit answer, that'd be 2 more guesses. As for exact title, that would make it 5 guesses. Hard: 3 guesses for 9 points. Omori; Golden Sun: The Elemental Stars; EarthBound: Sanctuary Guardian. So my score would be +-30 if it's only exact titles, 40 if it's game universes, 44 if we consider I Wanna Be The Guy as legit answer (but I wouldn't as they did in fact take existing osts from other games to make that game, so it's not the original)

I was expecting the main theme for Doom eternal, but BFG division was a very welcome surprise.

Wow, only was able to guess 48 of these correctly. Then again I've got so much of a backlog and play older stuff because of it, so I'm not surprised I didn't get stuff like Elden Ring, Fortnite, etc. Nice compilation and quiz!

Great compilation of game music! Something I really like about these kinds of videos is they show how sound quality changed as technology advanced. We went from (for example) quirky 8bit tunes to EAX, openAL etc. Now we get games with music that's at the level of movie and trailer music. Battlefield 1942, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 are some of my favorites. 👍
