Todo muy orientado al Metal americano, salvo algunas excepciones. No recuerdo haber escuchado alguna canción perteneciente a géneros como el Black, Death, Power, etc. Sobre todo cuando existen bandas europeas (casi siempre) que han tenido una carrera larga y exitosa desde sus inicios.

@@futuramabender2078 i actually knew them personally (long ago). I would place Shinedown in the world of modern rock/pop. They can get loud, but they’re not metal. I have 3 of their albums (Planet Zero, Sound of Madness and Leave a Whisper) which are VERY good. I’ve seen them many times back in the early days, as I worked with their A&R guy Steve Robertson at Atlantic. I took Brent and Jasin on a promo tour like 20 years ago. Fun times!

It's cool that you've made this, but it could use more variety in terms of bands and genres.

Could've used more Mastodon. I was splitting my lungs with Blood and Thunder in 2004.

I only got 25, but if I counted all the ones where I knew the riff but couldn't remember the title that'd be another five or six at least.

I'm born 1963 and I managed to get 26 bands correct of those 54 (48%) and 17 of those correct band and song (31%): Major part from the 70s and 80s. I got 9/10 in the 70s, 8/10 in the 80s, 4/10 in the 90s, 2/10 in the 2000s, 2/10 in the 2010s and 1/4 in the 2020s.

As soon as I heard the first beat of 2011 I immediately knew it was 5FDP

only 13... some groups come back (too) often, and if you don't know anything about them...

Some i needed like 10 seconds, 6 was too fkn short. And others i knew the band but not the song. 🤔 Also would have picked a few different ones here & there, but the test was fun.🤘🏼

22/54 I did terrible, but that's because Metal isn't really my genre. I kind of thought I'd do good on the 80's with the hair/glam bands, but it turns out my best was 2000's and 2010's. Am kind of surprised no AC/DC or KISS. Also, a little surprised Skillet wasn't on here for late 2000's and through the 2010's.

Black Sabbath, but no Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Hawkwind, Uriah Heep, Budgie in the early stuff...sooo much Metallica, S.O.A.D. and Rammstein. Where was Accept, Scorpions, Helloween, WASP, Slayer, Trivium, Gamma Ray, Danzig, Korn, Alice in Chains, Testament, Dream Theatre, Bullet FMV, Black Label Society and soooo many more....c'mon man...do some work....there's enough bands with famous songs to do a different one for every year without repeats.

Unlike the 1975 to 2023 quiz, I eas at least able to accurately identify some of the newer bands after 1993, and in a few cases I actually liked the songs from there on. Maybe I'm not as much of an old curmudgeon as I thought. But still... get off my lawn! 🤣
