I'm from the US and lived in Kerala for a few years, though I was surrounded by a greater number of Hindi speakers. I have only ever sought out music in Malayalam and Hindi. The first one threw me for a loop! The only ones I guessed correctly were Malayalam (my Malayalam is extremely basic and really it was mostly because of the headscarf), Tamil (because it wasn't Malayalam), and Kannada (the only remaining South Indian language at that point). I can recognize a few other North Indian languages when spoken. However, whoever chose these song fragments did a great job of obfuscating the answers in terms of not only the musical style and the performers' ethnic origins (in some cases), but also key words/sounds that would give way the language. Like if I hear the word "vich" I can guess it's Punjabi, or "something something che" is Gujarati, or "something something shoshosho" is Bengali, but I didn't hear that in any of the songs. A well-crafted challenge!

Twist in plot is my mother tongue is "Marathi".i got 3 languages due to this reason ,those are Marathi, Konkani and Gujarati language. Lastly I grown up watching Bollywood movies in home, I know hindi, partly Punjabi and bit Bhojpuri and presently I am learning Bengali. And here comes the most important discussion,Sindhi, Kashmiri , odia and NE languages I unable to guess. Between thank you dada, for making content on languages helped me understand "O" Sound of bengali and how gender changes with languages.

I understand 3 of these languages- Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, and as a South Indian Kannada and Marathi were easy guesses. Punjabi, I guess everyone knows from Bollywood. I was confused with Odia, Bengali and Assamese but I managed to wild guess Odia and the rest were easy to differentiate! Nepali is seemingly very similar to Sanskrit, and from the north eastern figures, I guessed Sikkim and guessed Nepali from here. Once Gujarathi was done, Sindhi was easy to call out. Konkhani from the Goan background and similarity with Marathi. I went wrong with Manipuri and Kashmiri though :( So 13/15

Beautiful...reminded me of a tv show named Lahar Lahar Sangeet aired most probably in the early nineties. ❤
I am a native odia speaker and guessed 11 out of 15 songs. Couldn't guess Marathi😅, Sindhi ,Kashmiri, Nepali. In some songs the culture of that area helped me. Like the beaches and streets in Goa for Konkoni. The first one was epic punjabi singing telugu. The last one I almost had guessed wrong as the singer's famous songs are in awadhi. Great video.....❤
I am a Nepali!!🇳🇵🇳🇵 And I guessed 7 rights!!Nepali,odia, gujarati,bengali,malayalam,kannada,punjabi!!
