In English, we say "the wind soughing through the trees", a very old fashioned phrase, that comes from this word...a gentle soughing, just barely enough to lift your hair when it blows.
I got this one a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. I love the lemon they used in this one. I've since bought Eau de Shalimar, which is my fave of all the iterations. It's very cologne-like.
Oh I love that No.5 tester bottle 😍 Thankyou for another beautiful review… I would love to try soufflé! And the blue bottle is gorgeous. No one reviews perfume like you Dacob xxx

I smelled Shalimar Souffle in 2014 when it came out. I was instantly in love with the scent. You described it really well at the start of the video, it was kind of bizarre but in the good way, not linear and very layered, very specific fragrance. I love the combo of freshness and warmth, and the powdery feel that comes out as it dries down. It is, to this day, one of my favorite scents. I smelled it recently and it is just not it anymore, I am not sure if they reformulated it but something just felt off.

Thanks Bailarina. 🙏🏻 Yep, I feel like Guerlain reformulated a bunch of their perfumes in 2021 and 2022. I have not smelled the current version of souffle but have smelled the current version of nettare di sole and its just not good anymore. They even gave it a new formula code on the package hence clearly showing us that the perfume has indeed been reformulated. Pity. 💖

Hi Dacob, you’re absolutely right. My husband speaks fluent French with his whole family and he tells me, souffle means to breath or to puff..
I got that same set and the mascara is amazing.. as well as the perfume. Philtre is still my favorite Shalimar flanker though.
I just got this tester bottle a few weeks ago and it's now my favorite scent! on the dry down I do get Jasmine Sambac and Ylang-ylang, a really light Ylang-ylang that doesn't give me migraine like other perfumes would. It compliments the lemony vanilla and the kinda spicy musk. I really love it!

Hello, I am French and it literaly means breath or breath of wind so I would have Never imagined it as a gourmand or sweet perfume, but more liké a fresh or toned down version of Shalimar. That's what the name evokes to me. I have smelt it and to le it feels very different from the Shalimar eau de parfum, I think it could be used more liké a summer perfume whereas Shalimar eau de parfum is more wintery.

Interesting that you would use this one more in the warm months. To me it is very much a deep autumny fragrance. Love it in fall.
Soufflé de Parfum is the only Shalimar I like/love ❤️

This is the most beautifull vanilla perfume for me. It smells deep and classy...beautifull fall and winter perfume. And I think it is very good for layering.💙

Shalimar Souffle is very seductive. Personally, I get a sourness on my skin, but when I layer it with use Shalimar EDT, it becomes perfect for me.
Same here with perfume wearing daily habit 😻

Loving perfumes so much is a burden on the wallet for sure but at the same time it adds lightness to the soul in my opinion. 💖
So far, only Shalimar is Shalimar...I don't want flankers.
And now i Need this One too.... 😜 Sufle il like italian "soffio" a light brath out for cooling an hot dish... Or move the hair from the face of your sleeping lover... Gently...

Souffle means whisper.
I had this one, it just didn't work for me. I felt like a dusty old lemon in this one.
