This is exactly the type of review/comparison i was looking for. Thank you! I discovered handpans yesterday, fell in love, despaired at prices, scratched head at terminology, found Guda Drums, got intrigued, searched KZread for demos ... and found this video. YOU showed, played and explained each type, allowed me to hear the differences and thereby develop an understanding of what i would most like in the instrument i choose. Honestly, your video is perfect. I wish everyone had as good an understanding of what fellow players are looking for and as good a technique in comfortably explain to newbies. I'm a retiree looking for her first tongue drum. I was tested as a child and was told that I had some musical aptitude but was never able to explore whatever talent I might have. This drum is important as it will help fulfill a childhood dream. I've been researching & finally settled on a tongue drum & Guda in particular because of it's beautiful sound and was kind of stuck at that point until I found your video. You've done an outstanding job of presenting information that has helped me tremendously so I'll be ordering a Freezbee soon. You even helped with choosing a scale. I hope you'll do some beginner lessons for us. You're a great teacher & I know I would be able to catch on if you were the one instructing me. You play beautifully & increase my desire to give this a try. Thanks so much for all of your help. Please keep up the good work. Amelia

Great review, thank you. I ordered the 2.0 version and wanted 2 scales on it. Unfortunately I didn't get a response from Guda Drum when I wrote to them inquiring about that. Huge bummer since I see that it can be done on the drum model that I bought. I wonder if there is an artisan in the US who can put the second scale on it for me.

@@gypsysnickerdoodle4354 Thanks for the tip! Now that I got my new drum, I'm on the fence about the two-sided scales. My style is the new Guda 2.0 Plus, which has a removable wooden plug for the sound hole on the bottom. It's cool to be able to play the drum in muted or diffused mode. If I had added the scale on the bottom, the removable plug would have lost at least some of its effectiveness.

We have 3 models which are double sided (we started making double sided models several years ago). Large Guda Double, compact Guda Coin and new medium-sized Guda Coin Ultra. I answer all questions at least if they are sent to sales@guda-drum.com

I recommend the Guda Coin or double, because one side is simple and the other more complicated. So you can start one way and make your way to the next. Plus you get two instruments in one
