I think the clothes are "good" not great but.... I think it's a perfect cleanser from the last designer. It is a very good start and I hope it will influence the industry as a whole. Also, the presentation (with just the lights and black background) is excellent. You can actually see the clothes and aren't distracted by a crazy set.

I have tried some of these jackets in person. Love the perfect cutting & silhouette. And, NO, please do not compare them to those from H&M or Shien. When you see these jackets in person, you can tell the amount of efforts being put in the garment. Younger clients may say they are boring, but me as a mature client, I really love them. They are classic & humble, yet chic. A true staple to anyone’s wardrobe.

I like this collection. Very reminiscent of a vision I feel modern fashion shows haven’t had since the 90s. There’s a few costume pieces, but they aren’t something Shein can successfully dupe-you’d want to buy the real thing or not at all. The fashion is also so well crafted, you’re not focused on the models. And everything else will appease the formal, streetwear, and business casual crowd with its versatility.

Can you blame him for wanting to take a safe route? It’s his debut collection. Let’s be honest….If it doesn’t sell they’re getting rid of him. He has to secure his place and show them he can sell the clothes before he can truly get creative and take risks with a mega house like Gucci

The line is s combination of 60s gucci and 90s Tom fords gucci. Really chic, posh and somewhat plain sexy. I liked it but I wouldn't particularly say its inspiring. Guccu enjoys revisiting designs, i don't know why but it has built a reputation in being an expert luxury and womenswrar so they always get away with it. The tracksuit jacket and leather burgundy skirt was my favorite ❤

A full 50% of a Spring Summer Collection is leather???? What a good idea and then there are the dozens of this decade’s try to breathe life into hot pants that have never worked since that first time in 1969 when we landed on the Moon! They didn’t work then or now. Why? Because virtually no one looks good in them. Next, for all the lace trimmed slip dresses (so boring) and bare legs, see through and cut to the navel this collection has as much sex appeal as a Western saddle. IMO of course.

I've seen some fashion crashes before (Maria Grazia at Dior anyone?), but this one takes the phrase 'epic proportions' onto a whole new level. This lackluster collection screams fear, executive pressure and lack of confidence. On the plus side, it can only get better from there 😅

Girlie… have you seen Alessandros first collection? This is promising & shows the new designer has refinement and understanding of the brand. The collection mostly reflects on it’s classics as well as some of the more recent Gucci “macrame projects” like the knit with a striped collar on the jumpsuit.

Love talking to a fellow fashion person.... I am going to have to disagree. I think this collection was excellent (not perfect but quite good.) Gucci mainly sells shoes, bags, jewelry and sunglasses.. They don't make any money from the clothes. You can actually see the beautiful accessories in this show that make all their money and the clean staging means you can actually focus on the clothes too. The simple and streamlined pieces are a refreshing palette cleanser from years and years of excess. I think the clothing design could have still been stronger but over all, I think it's a pretty awesome debut.
