Guardiola, Klopp and Mourinho have all said they would be open to coaching England. England are still the most a very prestigious as the first international team and be the coach to win England their next international trophy would be a huge deal globally. Klopp has said he would like to be an international coach and England are a far better job than Germany right now and Guardiola, a staunch Catalan separatist doesn’t want to coach Spain.

It’s kinda hilarious they think England need the best manager in the world to win something. Literally anything higher than a mid table manager would win something, Southgate is just a terrible manager. They’re in for a shock when Sean Dyche takes over and still ends up winning 3 tournaments in a row.

@@hinata8097 They didn’t have better squads, they had better players. Half of them hated each other and they kept trying to force players into the team because of their name instead of what worked. Scholes at LW, Barry in the team at all. These things were never gonna work.

Southgate bottles it every time, madness he wasnt sacked after the Italy final. Bringing on players just to take pens, insane. Now hes just picking his yes men. The man is a politician.

The quality in international football these past 5 to 10 years countries are awful. England pissed it through to final in euros and played an okay Italy team in final and lost is an embarrassment really. Southgate has done a shit job but it also don’t help with how the media are either they make England winning anything unbearable

Controversial… I don’t think Pep would do well in international football. His tactics are too delicate and rely heavily on the team work and every single player pulling the right strings. He wouldn’t have enough time to practice with international squad to get them play like Barcelona or City.

Can't wait to see the back of Southgate, with the group of talents that are available he still fails to win nothing! Nothing! Let him go now if we can!

Anyone could get these players to tournaments, it's the latter stages where good managers shine, Southgate has done a good job until now but he's not the man to get us over the final hurdle.

The absolute delusion to think Pep & Jurgen would even entertain these discussions is mind blowing 😂 as if any top class manager at the peak of their powers would want the England job. No chance even with the likes of Eddie Howe, the only people interested in the England job are coaches out of work or who are already past it. That's it.

We need a decent manager with this squad to win, forget about Giardiola. Rodgers or Potter would be sufficient.

the thing with this is that I love how everone is saying is that they need a manager not from England to win when you are literally playing for England. The England team should get English managers not Pep or Klopp who should be managing for Germany/Spain.

imo no matter how much we may like or dislike Southgate we must back him and hope for the best which is winning it all but if Southgate walks away I'm a big believer that we need to stick with a English manager after all it is a national team therefore we need a English manager that's not taking anything away from Klopp and Pep because they are one of the best in the world as a LFC fan i love Klopp but we need a English manager to manage a English team.

Eddie Howe is the most likely replacement for the position, hopefully England will have unearthed a new central midfielder and Watkins will be better than a pro forward that he currently is by then.

How on earth are we favourites over France? They beat us in the world cup and are just better. The only big team we have beaten at a major competition is Germany,(who have been underperforming a lot recently) every other big team we lost to.

It’s meaningless England are favourites. This England side creates so little chances from open play because of their slow distribution from the back, inability to pass consistently through the lines in midfield and static movement in the final third. It’ll end like it has for the last 58 years - out in the knockout stages after ET and penalties. This is the same squad of players who finished bottom of the Nations league and got relegated - v Germany, Italy and losing to Hungary 4-0 at home FFS. Short memories indeed!

I've been saying for months, get rid of Southgate now and offer a top Prem manager 10m to oversee England in the Euros. It's off season and a guaranteed win. As good of a squad as England have, I just feel will get tripped up by a better manager.

Southgate's team selection is wrong and his in game management is not good enough. I expect him to do the same this time and thus we will not win the Euros because of him.
