The thing I like in this movie that I don't see a lot of people talking about is the fact that when rocket wakes up, he asks about nebula because the were the only ones from the guardians together during the blip

The story behind Quill not having his space gear is really funny. His helmet was broken in Vol 2, but the Russos gave him his helmet back in Infinity War which created a continuity error. James just wanted to stay consistent with his previous movie, so he discarded the helmet. It's why James had Nebula steal Bucky's arm in the Holiday Special. "Let's see how you explain this" type of thing.

Star-lord's helmet was broken in vol. 2. James Gunn wanted to stay consistent. The Russo brothers brought it back in the Avengers movies. I think James was upset with this and got rid of it afterward. Which explains why Quill didn't wear his helmet in Love and Thunder and Vol. 3.

It’s also why for payback Gunn had Rocket steal the Winter Soldier’s arm in the Holiday Special. It’s to force them to write a way for him to get a new arm or accept the continuity error as he chose to do with the mask.

Regarding star-lords helmet, James Gunn has stated that the guardians were in such a rush leaving knowhere to save rocket that he forgot to grab it.

I was wondering about the mask thing too. When they were infiltrating that organic space station, I didn't understand why they were wearing those space suits when they can simply use the high tech masks that can create that invisible barrier around their bodies like in the earlier movies.

5:04 yeah, the Guardians kill a lot, but only in combat. They don't commit cold-blooded murder. At least I think that was the idea they were going for. Killing High Evolutionary in battle would have been fine, but looking him in the eye once he's defeated, having the power to choose whether he lived or died, was enough for Rocket.

James Gunn showed us in Volume 2 that Ego destroys Quill's space gear which is way he doesn't have it in the Holiday Special and Volume 3 However, Gunn had no control over the continuity in Infinity War and Endgame

I thought the guardians thing was to show that he didn’t need to kill the high evolutionary to feel worth because he already had worth from the fact that he was a guardian

Starlord left his helmet at Nowhere in his desk. Remember he was drunk at the beginning of the movie so have his helmet may have been put aside because he didn’t feel like Starlord without Gamora.

I think if James Gunn had had his way, Star Lord's mask and rocket boosters wouldn't have been used in Infinity War and Endgame. Though it wasn't as memorable as his walkman, his mask was broken during the fight with Ego in vol. 2, and I think the intention was that Peter's look would permanently change as the character did. Gunn has since stated that Peter forgot the mask in his desk drawer as he rushed out of Knowhere, but he's adamant that the rocket boosters are gone because the jet packs Rocket made are superior tech.

I never though about how both guardians 3 and thor 4 have emotional whiplash yet it works in this movie but not thor.

Hey what ups 'BRAW' Steph Sabraw and Andrew 'FLASH' Gordon, big fan of the channel, luv u guys..i also loved the movie too, it was brilliant but definitely Emotional Whiplash..Adam Warlock was definitely shoehorned..Great pitch meeting though, i loved the film...Rocket MVP, my favourite was Gamora but prefer Mantis now! The High Evolutionary was phenomenal, what a horrible villian, actor from Peacemaker did such a great job...its was funny as hell and emotional as hell...Only thing i hated was after credit scene with Pete eating cereal..i was ill so couldnt see with others, only just saw at a matine other day and when film ended casual viewers left so i waited on my own through the credits with staff waiting and watching me so they could clean the place...i waited 10 mins for that scene in an uncomfortable room..Thanks James Gunn!😂😂

I loved the film. I do wonder though if it was really a good idea to have Adam Warlock in it. His story was tangential and unnecessary to the plot. In some points, a plain distraction from it. He is such a good character in comics. You wish they had him to appear in some other place, maybe a special presentation like Werewolf by Night, where he could be more developed and kept this strictly a Guardians film.

Was he? One could argue that Memphisto and Thanos himself were just as instrumental to the threat in the og Infinity Guantlet comics. I enjoyed this interpretation of Warlock, it gave him a good starting point to grow into the greater MCU.

Yea, post Thanos, Marvel has a hard time taking their villians/anti-heroes serious. Its almost odd that High Evolutionary has a better performance as a big bad villain in comparison to Kang, who we’ve seen in Ant-Man 3 and Loki (If you count He Who remains)

Movie was overall a meh and felt like a random space adventure genre episode instead of a Marvel/superhero movie, villain was thankfully an actual villain and not some guy who was misunderstood or some stupidity, Adam Warlock was just Will Poulter from 'The Millers' with gold bodypaint, Quill's a needy beta, Nebula transitioned I guess, Mantis going through her teenage phase where she's pissed at everything, Gamora is how I'd expect before joining the Guardians, Drax, Groot and Rocket are as they should be
