Dear lord the commentary is so good on this one. I love this game so it's nice to have everything explained so in depth, yet succinctly.

Best commentary 2017, damn that guy was fast talking the entire game, thats like double difficulty on an already challenging game.

Grimelios is one of my favorite runners to watch. The commentary is too good.

A sentence I never thought I'd write: "thanks Games Done Quick for giving me an interest in Mexican culture via the power of lucha". And yes, "Chorizo Statues" is a hell of a missed opportunity, and it is what I will always call the Discount Chozo Statues now.

I actually have this game. I had no idea what it really was. I should give it a try. Just out of curiosity... I know it has a co-op mode where the second player plays the female character. Is there a way to play her in single player mode? (I'm a girl, so if given the option I would definitely take it. :D) Edit: HAH, I had paused the video mere seconds before he switched to that other costume (on the female character), so nevermind, my question got answered.

Can we take a second and talk of how freaking amazing the music on this game is? I am mexican and a lot of those tunes give me goosebumps. Those trompetas.... sooo gooooood

for anyone watching on an Android, you can also do this by going to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing, then go to the very bottom and switch it to Mono!

Crazy good commentary

If you lower the left channel volume to around 23% and then increase overall volume again, it feels like stereo again.

Top notch commentary, I didn't even know that game but you guys got me hooked!

Vermin Central - I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Literally just completed this game a few days ago on the newest version. Game is great, but the amount of game reference they make in the game really sucks out the flavor of its own game. For some reason that stuck out on me. I love me some references but this is the first game I thought "maybe don't stick it on my face so much". That aside everything it offers is really solid.

Took me way to long to realise there was a cardboard cut out behind the runner

29:24 Blink and you'll miss it since he's so fast... That statue reminds me of something... some other game. Something with a mostly red protagonist. I can't quite put my finger on it... ;) I assume the game is chock full of thee little references... but he's way too fast for me to notice any others so far :D

I dunno for sure, but usually runners choose old versions because new versions fix bugs/glitches that they rely upon.

Video title is wrong, takes 11 seconds more than stands there.

isn't useing the alebrije costume from the beginning of the game a bit of cheating? shouldn't a 100% playthrough start on a reset game, where you need to unlock such powerful items first??

El pollo diavolo is a CMI reference that nobobody seems to have gotten.

Very neat art style, but the game just doesn't look that fun to me.
