1070ti is far better price perfomance than 1080. no need to do a video, not even a topic. and on the passmark benchmark 1070ti 's average score is same or higher than 1080. 1080 is garbage now at this time point , choose 1070ti or 1080ti , or wait for new generation.

Sorry to bug you Mr. Deals, I just bought a used gtx 970 for $150. I like to play 1080p at high settings with 60fps on games like Battlefield 1, Farcry 4, and Fallout 4. Was this a decent deal? I also just bought a Ryzen 5 2600x and Aorus x470 ultra gaming mobo.

Got a windforce OC 1080 for 549 on newegg . That's a pretty solid value and the 1080 is definitely better for 4k than the 1070ti.

Tomáš Bouzek 1080 does what I want now for a solid price. Rather not wait for a new nvidia card that nobody will know when it comes to market. What incentive do they have to release a new card when their pascal cards beat the competition from AMD pretty easily.

Derek Comingo i just did this path as well. Tempo card will go on my old tier pc. Waiting whats up with Nvidia. Guess they will hold longer while no one challenge them in the market

It is high end, but how long before you need to lower the presets? Also was he talking 1080p Or 1440p bc i think it it might be a "mid range" 1440p card but for 1080p yes, its high end.

Sid Cannon No you’re in La la land. See the 1070ti is top of the line mid range. High range is 1080 and 1080 because they are 4K gaming cards. That’s what makes them high range. 1070ti just about survives at 1440p. Price points don’t make something in a range, only performance

i think u need to cheek your math because there should be atleast 10 fps difference at least between them

Glad i got my MSI duke 1070ti paired with ryzen 5 1600 :) running most games cranked up at 1440p .. sometimes yeah it dip below 60fps , but just for a split-second , but most games are really looks very nice at 1440p cranked up or even few options turned down :) thank you for the very awesome video !!

I did this upgrade last fall and I love it. Just that some games need more CPU than 4,6GHz I5-6600K, especially if trying to hit that sweet 144fps...

Hey Jason, atm I have the option to buy a 1070 for 370, or a 1080 for 475. I don't need the card immediately, but will want it by some time in Q3 this year. Do you think that's a good enough price to jump on one of them, or should I wait for a better deal on one of those or a 1070Ti, or even wait for the new series to drop so prices fall further? The 1070Ti would be my first choice of card, but they're not available at a good price right now for me.

GTX 1070 TI is more future proof. GTX 1060 is a good card, but there are games that you will not reach 60 FPS on all games.

What's ur take on vega56 value with their freesync monitors vs these 1070s and their gsyncs..in my country the gsync ones are way overpriced even for a 24incher..its almost ridiculous knowing its only a 1080p 144hz which cost almost the same as their gpu

The exact gpu change that i made. The diferrence is that my older 1060 was an 6gb dual oc asus. Huge performance leap.

I just bought 1060 6GB. He is right about the performance. I mostly play Rainbow Six Siege and for that it works just fine with my Ryzen 1700 and MSI Gaming X 1060GTX. I get with 1440p and Ultra about 60-93 fps. With 1080 and Ultra about 90-125 fps. I live in Finland so here prices are much higher here which atleast affected my desicision. 1060 GTX 6GB costs about 350 euros while 1070 is near 600 euros. I paid about 400 euros for MSI Gaming X here. Could have gotten cheaper 50-70 euros with with 3GB and less flashy but I though it was long time investment. With US prices I would have bought the 1070 Ti. Over 500 is just far too much for GPU for me. I could afford it but I just don't see price/use benefit above that. If would have need for 1070ti with that price I could propably justify also buying Titan or 1080 in my opinion. For me 1070 funny bracket because its expensive but not best. And thats bit of dilemma. For me as an adult that works lot over 300 euros for GPU is not sensible investment as such for GPU. There is not enough value in my case.

Yeah prolly should have. Friend of mine brought it with 600 from Germany. I looked UK Amazon but lot of them don't ship abroad. Also I noticed its pretty touchy what GPU you can get. Best ones seem to be in short supply, atleast those with good deals. To be honest I just didn't care to browse lot of foreign sites and wonder which would ship abroad and which price. Propably there would have been deal. It was just easier and faster to walk to shop for me. Also I can return if it brokes easily.

I haven't done real calculations on performance. But quick testing tells me that there is no huge difference for do I use high, very high or ultra. Seems to settle 75-100 indoors. Can be that ultra gets bit lower at average but have not tested. But overall ultra is less smooth experience. Numbers may not tell everything. Note that I do use GeForce optimized settings from Geforce Exprience It gets higher playable resolution with settings that gives you 50-65 fps far as I can tell. My setup: Geforce 1060GTX Gaming X 6G(in OC mode) Crucible Ballistic 8 GB x 2 (2666 mzh) PRIME B350-PLUS motherboard Ryzen 7 1700 3650 Mhz Samsung 860 EVO SATA ssd(ssd matters for system performance) I think

I would like to ask If you could do some sort of 2018 complete in-depth comparation of a custom air cooled rx vega 64(like the gigabyte one you already own),the Liquid Cooled version of the Rx Vega 64,a custom gtx 1080 and a custom gtx 1080 ti at 1080p and 1440p. It would be very interesting to see how does an overclocked liquid cooled rx vega 64 perform against an overclocked 1080 and Ti version. I am asking you this not because I don't know that the 1080ti will win anyway but because I think that the LC Vega 64 is how the Full fat Vega 10 chip should be/and perform with 1700-1750 mhz on the core and HBM overclocked at 1100mhz(enabling HBCC too ).None on youtube has done a video like this. Maybe you could also test the 4 cards on various games optimized especially for amd and nvidia such as Wolfenstein 2,Far Cry 5,Doom,Final Fantasy XV,The Witcher 3,Fallout 4,Raimbow Wildlands,AC Origins etc. Everything done with the latest drivers and windows update. Also keep in mind that Rivatuner overlayer is bugged and causes amd cards to lose in performance by a small margin. I think this kind of comparation could be really interesting and enjoyable to watch. Best regards :)

I have an msi 1060 overclocked to 2.1ghz and it plays everything just fine, running assassims creed orogins on very high-ultra I get AVERAGE 60fps (frame capped at 60 for smoothness) but it has dipped down to 30 (stuttered) a few times in crowded city areas

What card would you recommend me if i want to play games like Fortnite, GTA V, Rainbow Six Siege, Warframe, DBD, csgo, left 4 dead 2...

I like these reviews straight to the point but honestly even without looking at the benchmark results with my own eyes I cannot tell the difference at all between the 2 cards which one is faster, they look so similar in my perspective

Nice informative video regarding how these two GPUs are performing 2+ years later. However it looks like you have the wrong GTX 1060 in your opening video of the two GPUs. It shows the GTX 1060 as having 3 gigs vram instead of 6.

Hi, is use a ASUS GTX 1060 OC 6B Dual for more then a year now. For me, gaming at 1080P it is more then enough. The video card holds its own and I can play almost any A-Game at High and even Ultra settings. But the last month I noticed that my idle temps and temps under load are much higher then before. Before idle was always about 35C and under load 75C. Today the idle temps are 49C and under load sometimes I reach the 90C treshold. I do not overclock, nothing changed in my setup, airflow is good in my case and I clean my pc every 2 weeks. Is the thermal paste on my GPU in need of a change? Many thanks in advance.

If you have enough video ram I recommend turning the textures up to ultra and keeping the rest high, textures usually don’t impact performance much

Good Guide I have a GTX 1070 & added a second one for a good price ! in the SLI supported Games its most faster than a 1080TI :) and cheaper if u need a brand new card go for the 1070 TI (SLI maybe is an option for the future). if u have a GTX 1070 add a second one ! for SLI not all Games profit, but if they do :)

If I was to buy this graphics card it would be heading (lengthways) towards my plugs for my hard drives, will it just go over those plugs in my motherboard or will I need a smaller graphics card? They are only like 0.9 cm tall.

You might try pushing the VRAM a little further on the 1070ti. It’s a slightly cut down 1080 choking on that reduced bandwidth. Try +400/450 on the memory and see what happens. :)

high medium on PUBG, ultra on fortnite, very high on battle field, if 1060 3gb is paired with a capable processor (i5 7th series) .You will mostly get 60+ on those games. i played dis games on my friend PC on and of works really good and playable(P.S. Ultra and very high is the same XD). i do have 3gb and i3 6100. and i mostly get 50- 55 +.

there is a noticeable difference . but if i were you i would wait to get the new gpus which i belive the prices of them are not gone be cheap at all . But if your in a hurry save a bit more and go for the 1080 to secure fps for the future.
