don't worry 78-79°C is hot but it's not dangerous. But if you want to lower the temps of your GPU you should replace the Thermal Paste and give it a clean. That GPU has been released in 2016. If yours is clean, then make sure you have good airflow inside the case.

@@ghasifyt Take a look at the card, is it dirty? full of dust. First of all are you able to open up the card? Have you got past experiences with cleaning GPUs?

im still using the gigabyte gtx1060 6gb from i think 2017, i bought it back then because my old card couldn't run battlefield 1 and i want to play that game. since then, there isn't much gaming, or high requirement games i play so no upgrade. i have tried to clean the dust but i didnt clear the heat sink, i think it is about time to open the card and do a real deep clean and redo the thermal paste

If you're reaching upwards of 80°C then I think it's time to clean! :D

@@ItsMeIvan- thx, i did, redo the thermal paste. now i think when i play games it is at around 54°C and no noise at all. PS. i not sure the previous noise came from the GPU fans or CPU fans, but i repasted the CPU as well. coz gigabyte advertised their fan as "quiet" but it was very very noisy before, can't tell where the fan noise come from.

Hello. Does anyone have experience with gigabyte gtx1060 6gb winforce video card? I own this piece of shit and the cooler is undersized with only one cooling pipe, something you quickly notice when playing. The card gets relatively high in temperature and the fans start to run fast and then make quite a lot of noise. temperature takes some time to drop again, which is a bit unusual since you are used to the cpu dropping relatively quickly in temperature after the Intel burn test. People say that 80c is normal and that the card can withstand this. But still, 80c is a bit on the high side! Fans can reach almost 3000rpm, which is unusually high for fans. The fans also have a lot of complaints from people about a lot of rattling noises and other noises. My old gigabyte gtx660 2g oc winforce had an incredibly good cooler with 4 cooling pipes. Same with older ATI radeon which also had a better cooler. Has gigabytes gotten worse? Anyone with experience??

I haven't really experienced overly high temperatures with this Graphics card, as you can see on the video. It does get hot, close to 80°C, but nothing to worry about in my opinion. The fans were alright, could be better, but a lot quieter compared to my old RX 480 which was a jet engine. Maybe give it a clean and a repaste?

@@ItsMeIvan- You have no idea about electronics and temperatures! As (Linus tech tips) on youtube said in a video. Yes, the GPU can withstand temperatures up to 80 degrees, but it is a bit warm and you should not stay at 80 degrees, but preferably around 60c to a maximum of 70c. The hotter the shorter the life of the electronics. A lot of fan noise is also not something you want. It is also easy to see if a video card has a good or less good cooler
