I should say that, even this video is 7 years old from the end of 2022, surprising that old EMD's could run as clean as that from stand still... Nice tuning and nice work of the throttle of those train driver And yet, the glorious sound of 645E ❤️

Without turbo charger, that's a different taste, sounds great, I love this.
Goddamn that's music to my ears. Just like the good ol days. Wish it still had an M3.
My uncle who worked for GT told me if you see 3 or more GT It usually means one is going to the shop to get refueled or fixed
Now that's a classic!

My father was a long time engineer for the GTW in Chicago, it was a very sad time when they closed the Elsdon Yard back in the 80's. Really miss the 'good track road'!

Elsdon subdivision. Been there a few times. Set cars out at Blue Island yard.

@@BossSpringsteen69 My father was working a regular afternoon switching job at the Blue Island yard in the early 1980's the last few years before the GTW closed down there Chicago yards.

Hard to beat that kind of show!
You should hear these with a GP40 behind them and a SD40-2 behind that GP40 all in N8 when their going between buildings, the echoeing is fantastic!

Man, those units sound awesome!!! Were most of the GTW units fitted with P5 horns? I absolutely love the red, white and blue paint scheme on those . I finally saw my first GTW GP38 the other day out in Elgin, IL along the Leighton Subdivision (GTW 4933). It is a gorgeous looking unit!!!

Thunderhawk 1985 Few GTW units were fitted with either P5, K5la,And In Rare cases Left the M3R1 which is rare now in CN’s horn selection or some crap. -Jay
