regularly they'd use helicopters in the midlands to break meets up ... the ones at cannock and merry hill every friday and saturday ... but there's been a by-law in place for a few years forbidding meets / cruising / street racing etc. which kind of sucks b/c that scene was cool had a lot of fun

It’s becoming impossible to hold meets without them being exclusively invitational nowadays, even then you get ushered on quickly because everyone thinks they’ll end up like these meets. I pity local residents and the property owners.

As others have beat me to say, these will be a thing of the past eventually and you've been doing great documenting for years. Appreciate what you do a lot, Adam :) It's a shame kinda how anti social or dangerous this spot has got but might as well enjoy it for all that's left before things get very dry

that's already happened several times this year.. spare a thought for their family and friends.. The noise causes stress and mental problems for residents and their children. very sad.

You're lucky to get mental meets like this! Wish the scene in Norfolk was the same, meets here are dead now. Police turn up within minutes even if nothing happens. Even if they don't, the numbers a big there's still hardly any action other than a clapped Fiesta attempting a burnout. The cars are also crap too. If Reading was closer to me I'd definitely go to this one

I'm glad despite how positive you always are that you called out that Golf's shitty driving habits with a platform as big as yours. Even though I've been into the modified car scene almost my entire life, I loathe whenever I come across a recent Golf/BMW/Mercedes/Audi with illegal tints, pop and bang map, and stupid private plate because they all cut up everyone all the time and are always the ones almost causing an accident and driving in an entitled manner. It gives the entire modified car scene a bad rep. If I had a penny for every time I've almost been crashed into by the aforementioned culprit, I'd have a Cobra like yours lol. With the way people are behaving, I wouldn't be shocked if the car scene will be basically banned again by next summer. People need to be more responsible or it'll ruin it for everyone.

I've had minis for years (the proper one) there an occasional souped up one but meets and shows are at weekends in designated areas and mini people don't drive aggressive or in threatening way towards other members of the community. Can't see society putting up with this type of thing anymore as councils and Police have made it a priority with news Laws ,fines and noise cams giving instant fines now available.

I wouldn’t blame/say all the L plate bikers caused it. A few of my mates go to the meet on bikes and they are more behaved than some of the cars. It all came to an end because of a twat on a stolen moped crashing then running away....
