Fun Fact: Most hydrants don't actually shoot out with water. They usually have valves that shut if hit. Mafia would be an exception to this rule, because of its time period, since older hydrants usually didn't have this valve.

In Mafia, however, the cars blink when they go around corners! There are also speedometers, cruise control, you get tickets and you don't get shot immediately all points that I have been complaining about in GTA for years! Also, the Mafia base game predates GTA 5 by a few years!

Mafia The City of Lost Heaven was released few months after GTA 3 in 2002. Remake from 2020 was developed from scratch by different company.

@@4Core100 Exactly, the remake that was released in 2020 is not a great improvement, a lot was simply taken over! The goal wasn't to make a better game, just to modernize the graphics and the sound! (I still like the 2002 original better!)

Ubisoft game had great graphic with not much effect put on it. Most of the stuff I look into are the water effect that you walk pass or drive pass it. Realistic u will leave water marking on the road/floor.

Watch dogs franchise physics are a kind of buggy and whacky whenever I had played them... I had also played Mafia franchise, so, except Mafia 3 which doesn't even look like Mafia game, Mafia 2 and Mafia 1 remake have brilliant physics and so smooth and satisfying controls, and physics of cars are just so realistic.

Mafia was ahead of it’s time. That game feels so realistic and the open world is so beautiful man.

British equivelants of Fire hydrants are water valves which are under a hatch placed into the ground for fire brigade to connect to, we don't have big bulky red things unless they are a London bus, post box or a telephone box. The US can keep the red fire hydrants.

The original Mafia game was released on August 28, 2002 (the core of Mafia: Definitive Edition) You couldn't swim in GTA Vice City (2002) either! And for being released in 2002, it did some things better than GTA up until now!

You can either have rushed games released every year or games that are well developed. Besides if GTA 6 ,it will continue holding the same reputation

Don't listen to anyone. Try it. It's a good and fun game with okay story. The best thing in this game is the graphics which sometimes looks so realistic! It doesn't have a variety of worlds like in gta but the city looks real and alive.

"GTA V" of course. However, there's just something about hacking a car in "Watch Dogs Legion" and running over people with it.
