I'm in the same boat as you Pants for the soft top debate. Even in the American muscle scene I've never liked convertibles, their hardtop counterpart were always sexier and always had better performance due to the body rigidity.

@Randy Dube There are exceptions in regards to convertibles though, hard top convertibles like the BMW 135i & Mercedes-Benz SLK look good. Supercars convertibles like McLaren & Ferrari don't though, 2 door front engine coupes usually pull the hard top convertible look the best. P.S. Classic Muscle Cars & vinyl tops go hand & hand.

well its because you miss the point, its as close to a harley as you can get without putting yourself in harms way, as per someone described a C2 427 convertible to me once on here and once you hear that and get that, it makes alot of sense.

The soft top on the MX-5 ND is superior to every other option, better visibility, less weight, doesn't throw off the weight distribution, faster deployment and if you have a passenger you can close it at pretty fast speeds

Yes but it would be much worse than having a full body considering convertibles ruin the body line of cars and convertibles are too heavy because the chassis has to be reinforced

Welp i have tuned ND Rf( the hard top one) And to be honest in almost 4 years of ownership i can count on fingers how many times i've put down the roof. I just wanted the best small driving car. I've driven soft top NDs and didnt notice that much of a difference in the weight balance.

@@joshjackburns Very true I recall top gear at one point noted that the real R8 V10 in hard top handled with more rigidity. The convertible had to be reinforced upping the weight and slightly ruining the handling.

4:59 I got a soft top because it was a $700 Convertible that's more reliable than most. Toyota Camry Solara. 👌 Can't really beat that for the California and Colorado mountains! Gonna swap it from auto to manual later, too. And give it fresh paint.

5:02 Theo the reason why people buy convertibles is because they want the motorbike experience, without the lack of safety, security, control and inability to brake or maneuver in a hurry to avoid grevious bodily harm, plus on a car where the interior is highly claustrophobic, such as a lamborghini gallardo or that new countach knock off, it opens the whole thing up and makes you feel far more comfortable in it. plus if you live in a really nice area like I do where its full on Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 fall winds out there, its just nice, like really nice, like if you live in a nice area, you'll love it, England however, yeah I cant blame someone for not wanting to see that

Anytime between a fortnight and a month because rockstar have an obsession with delaying cars

i would take an r8 over a huracan because i feel like after a few days, the lambo becomes a hassle to drive while the r8 is just a super luxurious car

As someone that prefers the Audi over the Lambo, you are correct in my mental instability.

Someone told me that the new huracan will use a twin turbo v8 Maybe hybrid so im thinking if its true Audi may use it too

i bought it in the same color it has decent customization.

There is a rear wheel drive and a all wheel drive r8 irl but rockstar choose the rear wheel
