Still liking the cinematic beginnings before the real fight starts. Dr. Fate is one of those characters that would give Darkseid some trouble, but Darkseid being Darkseid, will turn the tables.

Yes. A much better fight than Superman vs Darkseid, where Superman wins, but Darkseid on paper should win 100%. These are beyond the Justice League classic 7 in powers, beings like Dr. Fate, Darkseid, Mordru, etc. Yes, Mordru vs Darkseid should also be a good battle.

I think they actually did battle in the comics and Darkseid came out on top.

Fate is one of them. But the truest form of darkseid and his most powerful form would rival the Anti-Monitor and even the Presence. Darkseid, just plain Darkseid would find it most advantageous to grant a truce to the Guardians and the Green Lanterns. But Darkseid paired with the Anti-Life Equation would be as powerful if not more powerful then the Anti-Monitor. So in Darkseids truest most powerful form it woudl take a tremendous power to stop him. Like Thanos not every being can access the Infinity Gauntlet. I would venture to say only a few select beings have the DNA to access and power the anti-life equation. I would say Superman and John Stewart given he is the prodigy the Guardians have eyed since birth and he is labeled the opener of doors. But Darkseid his DNA can be paired to any enchantment and gain access to its power source…and Dr Fate is the second most powerful sorcerer in DC. He is believed to also be the most powerful member of the Justice League who can defeat beings as powerful as Martian Manhunter. Because of this he has achieved many outstanding feats like: Telepathically moves a planet Rolls back the borders of the space time continuum Overpowered the Power of Vortex Battles the Spectre for a while Defeated a Mayan God Spectre has stated he is nearly as powerful as himself Feels Bruce Wayne consciousness a world away
