I've been playing Saints Row for a while and honestly comparing it to GTA V feels like an insult. Some GTA III mechanics are better than this game, that's how rushed and unpolished it can feel sometimes.

The Saints Row Reboot Take downs are really cool 😎. GTA 5 does not have the best hand to hand combat. The best you can do is hit someone straight in the head and somehow knock them out like in Cayo or Casino Heist

Well GTA V had a budget of $265 Million allotted to it and were given 5 years to develop. Saints Row had 2.5 years and less than half the budget given to it.

Far Cry 2 did that if I remember well

Weird that the edge of the map just resets you in SR5. I was playing SR3 a couple days ago, and if you reach the end of the map, AI takes control of you and turns you back around with a message that "your fellow Saints need you" or something like that. The fire hydrant thing definitely looks intentional. Saints Row games are fun because they are cartoony (in stark contrast to GTA 4 and GTA 5), so that fits right in with their general shenanigans.
