Suncoast makes a nice upgrade for the rear brake duct that replaces both ducts with one that pushes more are into the brakes and is up out of the way so it doesn’t get knocked off on the track.

Interesting 🤔 for sure going to be on my radar now

Crazy about the sway bar delaminating. At the very least, the brake ducts aren't too expensive to replace. Surprised to see the clutches might be that worn at this mileage but I guess you can say 12,000 track miles is like 120,000 miles.

Yea that’s exactly what I figured as well. We will see soon what the diagnosis is. Hopefully it’s not that but the slipping of clutches over the past 2 events has me doubtful they’re still any good for our purpose

Hey Gabe, it would be interesting to see a video comparing owning this .2 RS ‘track car’ and a .2 Cup car. I would assume running a cup car would be a tad more expensive (in terms of consumables, and the engine/trans rebuild) but would give a lot better experience on track, with the benefit of potentially racing and comparing yourself to other drivers.

Yea man totally. It’s not ideal for someone to go out and spend $250-300k on a GT3RS and gut it and remove all the comforts of being able to drive it on the street unless you’re crazy like Jason so I can 1000000% understand why someone would rather just get a cup car. As far as costs to run each car goes, I think the GT3RS wins in that category because everything is going to be more expensive and require more frequent replacement or rebuilding on a cup car

Hey gabe do you still street drive the rs every now and again or now it’s strictly track. Also do you have plans tracking out over in the eastcoast like Daytona?

This is Jason’s car that I only took compete with but he’s non-op registered it so it no longer gets driven on the street and I honestly can’t imagine how bad it would be to driven on the street lol the car requires ear protection now or you’ll have your head ringing in just a few minutes and that seat will have you seeing a chiropractor in an hour 😂 as far as driving on the east coast, no plans just yet but I’m picking up a new toy soon and I’d like to do some tracking out that way!

Hey Gabe are you still considering getting a 911 for another potential track build and how is Jason enjoying the ownership of the F80 ?

Hey AJ what’s up bro. I don’t wanna give away any hints at what’s next just yet but the plan is to start with a new project soon. Jason is enjoying his F80. It’s just his daily so nothing crazy going on with it

wow 12k track miles is insane, how do you compare the reliability to the f8x?

This is a great question. I think both are great track day toys. Both were extremely reliable for me. I wouldn’t pick one over the other. I think it’s very impressive to see how fast these GT cars are and how stout they are over time with their reliability. I can’t remember too much going bad on my F80 to be honest. It was extreme reliable for me. It just wasn’t as fast
