I cracked my deck lid btw... I cried

Thank you for making this video I just installed a competition orange GT emblem on my competition orange 5.0. Here is a tip for anyo e doing the install use a dental pick to push back the adhesive so that you can't see white on the deck lid that's a trick I just learned. This is too help anybody who does the install!

I installed my own tint kit and I blacked out my horse on the front and the GT on the back and didn't remove nothing

you could of just used the black matte plasti dip then sprayed it with the metalizer and then one coat of clear gloss topcoat and it looks amazing , I love it on mine , did the 5.0 decals and my pony , and hood air vents , easy and great looking

I considered it, but I like the OEM emblem better.

What's to keep the emblem from falling off? I don't feel safe just using that tape as a way to keep my emblem on. I crystallized mine...

Nice mod. Your car is looking very sharp! I blacked out my 2014 Gotta Have It Green GT. A quick question: is your license plate a personalized plate, or regular issue?

Thanks! My plate is personalized. "16" is the year, "P51" is the plane the Mustang is named after and "GT" is because it's a "GT".

Question: Where did you get the plastic trim tool you used to remove the panel? I'd like to get one of those. I can't seem to find one on eBay or anywhere. Please advise. Thanks BTW.... great video. Thank you.

Thanks! I personally got mine from Pep Boys. But, you can find them at any automotive store or online, you just have to search for "panel removal tool". These were definitely the good old days on this channel. Hard to believe this was over 2 years ago now. 😒

Looks good, but you didn't have to go through all that. Stick a small plastic bar under the left side and with barely any pressure at all it'll come right off without having to take the thing apart. Took above 5 mins total.

You are absolutely correct, took a plastic spatula from kitchen and started from the left, came off easy. Three pegs left inside, used my drill bit to clean the holes. Alcohol wipe to clean the area, and mounted the GT emblem. Six minutes later on to the next project.!!
