GSXR750 Wheelie Practice (Fails Included)

Ойын-сауық

I haven't actually gone out to practice wheelies on my gsxr in soooo long, I've hardly ridden the bike the past few months just between the weather and staying so busy, but it was definitely nice to get out and get more familiar with the bike and relearn some of the basics. Thanks for watching everyone, I know a lot of you love watching wheelies like myself. If you have any recommendations on wheelie tip videos or anything please let me know! :)

  • @SALTxTHExWOUND

I think it boils down to which they prefer and then commit more time to. When I had my ninja1000 I was much better at sit downs bc they felt more comfortable, but once I bought my 750 I started doing more stand ups until I eventually quit doing sit downs, hence why I suck at them now 😂

Your stand ups are legit bro! I miss that about my older R1 and GSXR-750. I too was good with the stand ups. Now the MT09 has that ride by wire throttle and is way harder to stay at balance point and hard to do stand ups on cause the bars are a lot higher. Have fun and be safe and keep riding them nice stand ups! 🔥🔥

@@SALTxTHExWOUND Yea I do them in second and sometimes get a decent one but its hard to keep it at balance point, I'm sure someone that is really good at dragging the rear brake could ride good ones but I just keep my foot on that brake just in case... when I was learning on this one I did exactly what you said I would set it down using the brake just to get used to it. Now when I start riding the wheelie out I just use the quick shifter and change to 3rd and it sits down. Went up and rode the cherohala and stopped at the bald river falls yesterday, put in 335 miles and I was dead by the time I got home lol.

Long time fan here, congrats on the marriage and everything else, man! I wanted to ask you, especially with your wheelie skills, do you use the "clean air" mod that stunters like Brian_636 use, or do you use any other mods for wheelies (since you never have the hole in your rear seat for foot holds). Keep killing it, Salt!

The gsxr750 was my favorite wheelie bike.i couple ride em for days. Now on my 2019 cbr1000rr sp1. Because of the power it's much harder for me to control the wheelie. I don't even do 2nd gear because it's to brutal. Has to be 3 or 4tg gear. And then being in those gears I'm doing over 100mph. So that's sketchy on it's own.
