    Under Pride rules he won but as far as UFC scoring goes it's far from a stretch to say GSP won 3 rounds. He certainly won 3 (iirc) and 5 with 1 being a toss up and the champ usually gets the nod on those. GSP's biggest mistake in that fight was trying to wrestle him, when he was striking he was winning it's just roided up Hendricks seemed to be largely unfazed by many hard shots and i think GSP didn't want to risk getting caught. I think he could have won a rematch with a better gameplan, but honestly Hendricks didn't deserve it, it was just too obvious he was cheating.

    I bet most of you who are talking about the hendricks fight, have never seen the first BJ Penn fight. *BUT, probably the the biggest reason why he may choose to ignore hendricks is because he's the best example of the USADA effect* , where even hendricks refused to do VADA testing for the fight stating that he thought VADA wasn't impartial (because he saw GSP mentioned on their site, which is a real weak excuse). He even says in this interview that he doesn't consider Jon Jones as GOAT because of the PED issue. Why acknowledge cheaters?

  • @lukaoverhypedslowcic8957

    @lukaoverhypedslowcic8957

    Mashrur So why did GSP only want to do testing against Hendricks. Why not against Condit Diaz or any of the other fighters he faced. That’s fishy to me

  • @mashrurmahfuz5828

    @mashrurmahfuz5828

    5 жыл бұрын

    He did with the Condit fight. From what i recall, GSPs obsession for drug testing came about after the first time him and Diaz were scheduled to fight, as Nick Diaz was probably the one who got into GSPs head the most, and begged Dana for the fighter after Nick called him out. (Diaz lost the opportunity after no showing two conference events and it went to condit instead, and Diaz would fight BJ Penn, then GSP got injured and and Condit would wait. After the Diaz BJ Penn fight, Nick called out GSP, and GSP begged Dana for the fight against Diaz. GSP tore his ACL and was out again, so they made the interim title Condit vs Diaz, where Condit won, and then lost to GSP when he came back, and then Diaz would also face GSP after.) So with Condit he offered VADA testing, but Condit offered USADA instead, to which GSP said no. You gotta understand that at the time, USADA wasn't popular amongst fighters and it was associated with WADA, WADA which was a joke, known for helping PED users to get passed doping. And also on top of that USADA was really shady at the time (although very reputable), meaning their methods weren't professional, a lot of which was seen when USADA was first implemented, like coming in the middle of the night to fighters, Tim Kennedy (whos in the military, is part of and advocates things that some might want to hurt him for), he pulled a gun on one that was following him suspiciously, Chael Sonnen tells the story of one USADA employee that had no ID took him to a closet to collect his urine. Idk if anything happened with the diaz fight, i can't find anything either. But Diaz has been caught for using marijuana multiple times, and if you don't think marijuana is a PED, you should see what grapplers have to say about it, it enhances the mind, and GSP even talked about, in his latest appearance on JRE, that PEDs which enhance senses and the mind are more dangerous that steroids in general.

  • @supersaiyanjohn3012

    @supersaiyanjohn3012

    5 жыл бұрын

    Rock TheElement because PED’s allows you to train 10 times as hard and suffer from much less muscle damage and not having to rest as much and just simply increasing overall muscle strength and endurance , it’s a huge advantage in any sport and if I was GSP I would bring up that steroid freaks name either ... you have to think of it in the long term as well , Hendricks didn’t just choose to use PED’s for that one fight 😂 he’s been using them most likely throughout his entire career , his body was in beast mode lol , GSP should have told Hendricks to fuck himself and fought someone else who isn’t a cheating bum

    I remember that fight, BJ fucked GSP's face all up. When they showed the two fighters right before the decision, BJ had no real damage and George looked like he had been hit by a truck. At the time, I thought that BJ should have got the decision on the discrepency in damage alone, but I had a ton of respect for George's toughness.

    The GSP Vs Hendricks right was close. The first time I watched it I thought clearly Johny won but after rewatching it sober I can see the judges decision being justifiable. Possibly 2-2 going into the 5th and Johny thought he had it in the bags so he decided to take round 5 off while GSP came in looking like he wanted to win the fight. If the judges saw the same thing that’s prob why 2 gave him the nod

    Big controversy in that 1st fight between GSP and BJ Penn. GSP cheated. I bet most of these Millennial fans didn't know that. GSP isn't as Invincible as he appears. GSP was having issues with BJ's rubber guard on the ground, so GSP's corner clearly started rubbing a shit load of Vaseline on GSP's upper Back making it impossible for BJ Penn to use his rubber gaurd. Dana was so pissed after the fight, same time Dana couldn't do shit! 😂😛
