I was starting to think I was the only one who’d figured this out. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for the good idea. Another improvement you can do to the GSI kettle is to take the smooth back end of a drill bit (about 8mm), stick it in the spout and gently bend downwards while rocking side to side. This will shape the spout so it will pour better. Not much is needed. Look at the Trangia kettle, it has this type of spout.
I use my kettle everyday at home. What a great idea! I bent the tabs in a little and filled the notches a little deeper so the bail would stay upright a bit better. Thanks for the great tip. Cheers and Happy Christmas from Washington State!
