Thx. Even tho the directions (without words) are on the side of the sleeve. I wanted to watch a video to make sure I was doing it right. Thx again.

RIght on, thanks for this. I think this review sold me on it. Love seeing people actually using it in real-world situations!

Nice video. I have had the older version of this press for about 10 years. It makes the best camping coffee. The only issue I have run into is the insulated sleeve. The bottom of the sleeve, which is made of rubber, is separating from the sides. It's two different types of material, so using vinyl tape does not work. I wanted to see the bottom to see if the construction was the same.

You could try weatherstripping adhesive or another rubber friendly adhesive but putting it on without making a mess might be a challenge.

I'd backpack with this. It's a luxury item.

left out the best part. this thing is made of thick plastic, indestructible AND insulates, unlike glass, which is thermal conductive. 2nd pro is the 1 piece screen with no parts to lose or get wrong. only weak point is the stitching on the handle. I just zip tied mine, no problem. i use this constantly at home.

I agree . It is very durable. My handle is still attached but I only use mine camping.

Thank you for the review. I used mine for the second time now, but had the feeling the coffee was too watery smh. Thought I‘d have to wait longer, but tomorrow I‘ll try the 4 minutes recommended. 👌🏻

Glad it helped. Definitely let it steep for a couple of minutes. The coffee will taste better

If your coffee is too 'watery' or not strong enough, add more grounds. Changing the size of the grind of your coffee can increase the darkness of the coffee.

Looks like a nice system, but alas like most of GSI’s stuff, is built with plastic primarily. I prefer titanium, for multiple reasons, not the least of which is concern over chemicals leaching from heated plastics.

Not worried about this as I only use this when I am camping, not every day of my life. Its light and makes good coffee.
