I need these for literally everything. Since I do a lot of historical-based fantasy, it's important to understand the names of different garments, how they're worn, in what order-all the details. TTvTT bless.

It’s amazing that a woman would dress in that beautiful and elaborate costume to play tennis! The corsetry and layers would ensure that the lady’s physical activity was extremely limited. I love these videos!

In the opposite way i can imagine this as quite a useful means to provide structure and routine to get out of the depression hole. I mean not to diminish the struggles or act like effort cures depression or some bs, just that "i managed to dress today and it makes me feel slightly better" kind of help thing

@@Scarlett.Granger I have issues with depression, and I typically dress fairly historical or "history-bounding" and I can confirm, it works wonders to make me feel dressed, pretty (and just generally good about myself), and "up." Not to mention, skirts are comfy and my corset is like a supportive hug that keeps me from collapsing in a heap when I haven't slept lol

I too struggle with depression and some days find it hard to dress at all - I just live in PJs. But it’s true that making even the smallest effort (if you can) does lift one’s mood amazingly.

it helps me to dress in layers, it's a constant, always need to put on my tights, vest and then corset before the outer clothes go on. If I get to this point, my depression gets manageable

This is good for reference for outfits because I have a jjba oc for part 7 steel ball run and that story takes place in the 1880's and I needed some idea of what to dress her in

At least the clothing, hat, glove, and umbrela protect you from the sun, sunscreen was not a thing/invented yet back then. Yes, I wore a jacket sometimes, it's uncomfortable in tropical asian climate, but it's a price to pay since it did a better job at it aniway compared to sunscreen in keeping my skin white.

i dont know why I'm shocked, i always thought the chemise stopped mid thigh to save on fabric, hence the need for drawers and multiple petticoats for modesty

Nope. Everything's cotton, which isn't a heat-retaining fabric, and even considering the layers, there's alot of air flow through there; some even claim those sort of skirts will keep you cooler in the summer than jeans because of that!
