Pretty sure there is no shame in saying this guy has THE best job in the world!!! Thanks for the flight... Kermit Weeks! :-)
Wonderful. What a great pilot and legacy preserver!
My Dad's best pal (who had a private license) was the corporate pilot for the old Briggs Corporation in Detroit. He flew their Grumman Mallard for a living. What a great airplane that was!
Man now that is a plane for a hero of the skies. I want one!!!
We were driving West on I 4 last Sunday 1/12 when we saw this unique looking plane flying low over Fantasy of Flight. Awesome!
I am at a loss for words to describe how great this video is. What a neat airplane that Duck is! I built a model of it about 25 years ago but never thought I would see one flying. Fantastic!
Awesome! Kermit flies bi-planes the best.
Kermit - you are amazing as always !! keep these coming !!
The flick Ove Murphy’s war was a good portray of the duck
Cool.
Thank you Mr , Kermit for your presentation. I look foward to the videos John in Montgomery AL
Is there anybody that has a more enviable life than Kermit? Best I can tell his job is to wake up every day and try to decide which cool airplane to pay with. Good work if you can find it I guess.

RV 6 Driver I agree but he has worked very hard to achieve what he has. Im just so thankful of people like Kermit (whom strikes me of being a very humble man) that do so much (at great expense to themselves) to retain our history and heritage and for also giving us this fantastic video archive (for free) for future generations and for that I thank him.
Truly a Wonderful aviation showcase and experiance
Hey Kermit!, haven't talked to you in about 30 years... looks like you are doing great, love your vids.....be safe and I will see you in June

The museum is no longer open to the public.
This is some great video fantastic .. love this
Thanks seafuryfan. Kermit does an in depth pre-flight walk around, cockpit talk and in flight guide for this very same Grumman Duck, as well as other aircraft, with his Kermie Cam series on his KZread channel... I'm sure a link to those will be present on the right side of the page here. Enjoy.
Hope you get to return soon and see it!
What a magnificent airplane!
Beautiful, I love the duck
Kermit, you have a very soft touch on the landing. When the tires touched the grass, I didn't see any bounce. (Of course, it may have been so slight that it went unnoticed by me.) Not too many people know about the J2F Duck. So, I am hoping to one day take the trip to your facility and visit. I know that I, being a WW2 a/c aficionado, would be in heaven.
Splendid video and awesome plane. I hope I can make it to FoF at some point in the future :) Thanks for sharing this!
Not to be too weird sounding about it, but I've decided in my next life I want to come back as Kermit Weeks!
If I get down there I sure will stop by.
Looks better taking off from the water than land-well , it is a Duck afterall ! Wales UK
that flock of birds got my "attention"!!
fascinating plane
Check out the "Kermie Cam" videos of the Grumman Duck on Kermit Weeks KZread channel for a cockpit view of the plane and flight.
FUN!!
A shame there were no interior shots. The "Duck" is a large airplane with a surprising amount of room in the area below the pilot.
You would be!
NIcel Landings!!
Oddly enough the fuselage minus the top wings and bottom floats reminds me of a Japanese b5n Kate, especially with the cockpit shape and design, huh
What was he doing @56 ? Was he winding the wheels up manually, or just trimming? Do the wheels come up hydraulically, or manually?
Do you have a radio for airport advisories, or do they just use a duck call?

Kermit, is this the same aircraft that the Confederate Air Force From Texas had as well at one time, or did they happen to barrow it from you for a calendar shoot back in the early 90's? I Cannot remember the exact year that this aircraft was featured in the calendar. It might have been back in 90-93 or so.
Do you have a pilot training program? . . . 🛫 🤔
well, can't afford the fullscale Duck, but in a couple of weeks I'm getting a 1/4 scale RC version that weighs around 90 lbs and a 150cc gas engine.
You have to hand crank the gear up O.o woah.. seems a tad old skewl. lol
There was a plane of this type used in a movie with Peter O Toole. He played a sailor seeking vengeance against a German submarine that sunk his ship, killing all of his shipmates at the end of World War Two. He finds this plane crashed on the island he swims to, renovates it, teaches himself to fly it, rigs up bombs and goes on a search and destroy mission to find that same sub and kill it.
