Growth of ‘red seaweed’ in cockle farm a blessing in disguise

Businessman Jalaludin Kassim was about to harvest the cockles and oysters in his farm in Johor a year ago but the Covid-19 pandemic forced him to put it on hold.
When he returned to his farm in May this year, he found something - “red seaweed” - thriving and turned it around to produce seaweed for the F&B industry.
