I don't know if anyone can/will answer this but by your definition of bone age for CGDP being 2 yrs or greater, then a boy who has a BA that is 6 months delay is considered short stature. Can there also be a "mild CGDP?" I am hoping he will grow to average height. Thanks!

Yes, you can have mild "delay," [though it is within the normal range of human variation, and so is not abnormal]. In general shorter children are delayed and taller children are advanced relative to average bone age. You can use a free "app" from Visiana to accurately predict final height with a high degree of confidence, provided you have an accurate height measurement and Bone Age: www.bonexpert.com/ahp/#/Male/CauEurN/-/-/-/-/-

It’s rare but you can have a slight spurt around 19-20 your genitals can also grow a bit more during that period..

People say I look like I am 4'10 or something like that. It really sucks but I guess that there shall always be someone who will accept you the way you are 😄😄😄

I don't agree with only measuring TSH in children who are abnormally short. A pituitary or hypothalamic tumour will impair TSH production [which usually will look falsely normal], whereas free T4 will be low.

Growth spurt is when in the middle of puberty, rapidly there’s bone growth, like fast height increase and it may be painful for some days.

That person needs to see an endocrinologist. There is likely a problem with the pituitary gland or the controlling region above it, called the hypothalamus

@@maxpro8575 This depends on ethnicity, parents’ heights and gender, but assuming you are male (apologies if not), Northern European, then your Predicted final height is around 164 +/- 1.5cm

I think i have adelayed growth spurt because i notice my classmate rose up when i step up 13, then i feel a little shame because i am quite small so i search the remedies on how to grow taller in the internet, lately this year i have grown only about 1cm, even if i perform the routines well....i start thinking maybe i may not grow now...what do i do? rizz _blink It depends on your genes.If you are a male then you should likely to end up like your father's height,it was written in your DNA since you were born on what height will you end up to.you can also estimate your height when you were 2 years old and multiply it by 2,you'll surely end up there

You need to see a paediatrician or paediatric endocrinologist and have a bone age x-ray [as a starting point]. If there are no signs of puberty yet, you likely have constitutional delay in growth and adolescence. If you are progressing well in puberty, then you may have a growth hormone problem [or other health issue affecting growth].

Acting like height is equally important for men and women is not being honest. If a boy is 15 and still hasn't had a growth spurt, is below 5'8", and 4 inches away from their genetic potential, then I think it is time to take growth hormone or at least do a nocturnal growth hormone test, which is never done. I'd like to see the studies that growth hormone only adds 2 cm even in people who are deficient. Also, why not at least prescribe melatonin to improve sleep and boost growth hormone early if they are short from a young age. That costs hardly anything. Also, strength training and increased calories from fat and removing wheat to prevent celiac, and prescribing at least 10,000 IU D3 per day, and K2. There are plenty of things to at least try. This wait and see is stupid.

you must not have heard of a thing called side effects from long term exposure to hormones. ever read the label on those melatonin bottles? they discourage use past 6 months. can affect liver etc. you gonna do more harm to your body than good coming to conclusions like this without thorough research about the validity of information you are putting out. also, celiac disease is hereditary. there's no "preventing" it. you manage it. get educated

I'm not sure if it's morally right to treat your gunshot wound, it's too expensive and you might get scarring from the stitches
