What he said was easily the best written out of all relationship centered things in this entire show.

It's for the best between Zoey and Aaron. They should give each other space. She has to move on from Aaron and Luca to focus on the number one goal: a career and a GRADUATION.

His speech to Zoey about how he is truly feeling is probably the best written scene that has come out of this show in 4 seasons

Beautiful scene. 💔 Great acting by Trevor and Yara. ♥️ A very real, honest, and mature decision from Aaron and a great GROWTH moment for both of them.

I’m so tired of ppl acting like Zoey hasn’t BEEN focused on herself. She’s been doing what she has to for her CAREER AND EDUCATION! Aaron or Luca could never stop that so please let’s not act like they ever have. Dre may have spoiled her rotten but her parents have raised great kids. I mean damn, she did take a year off from being in a relationship before getting with Aaron and even though she smashed Luca in between-it’s never distracted her. Zoey was almost expelled for cheating on her finals, not doing her work and PARTYING too much, not for DATING OR BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP. I’m happy that he did what needed to be done for himself. He acknowledged that he had issues that he needed to resolve on his own and as a man. He’s lost himself in this relationship and being so head over heels in love with Zoey just further clouds his judgment, like in Mexico. I’m very hurt about this breakup but I knew it was coming, they were doing too much bickering when they found themselves faced with a difficult situation. They’ll find their way back to each other when it’s time, *like for real next time (in Zoey’s voice)!

Honestly he’s being honest with her about his feelings and that’s the smart thing to do. The fact that he felt the need to breakup with zoey to figure himself out you can tell was hard for him to do and you can’t blame him. Better for him to do that, than him crashing and taking his anger and frustration out on her when she doesn’t deserve it so he backed off to save zoey from hurting later. He was mature about it which is what makes this show so relatable. Some guys will just think that’ll figure it all out but end up lashing out on theme when communication is all that’s needed.

This was really mature of Aaron

As this point Zoey needs to move on from both Aaron and Luca for good

Yeah because it has become very toxic. The back and forth with them too, the constantly stepping on Aaron's heart like dang. And then she can't be that naive to think a dude she was in love with, basically lived with and smashed would be ok to have as a friend and have around with a new bf.

Part of growing up is learning about love. Sometimes when you love that person, you just have to let go and heal.

I’m glad Aaron broke up with her to focus on himself. This scene and when he blasted Zoey for not calling her father regarding a job interview were the best growth scenes for Aaron. But, his character has been all about Zoey since day 1 so I hope his character finished where he needs to be.

It was not Zoey's job to secure him that interview. If he really wanted it he should have followed Dre off that elevator to his car and then to his house if necessary. He should not have expected the job as a done deal with his lack of experience either. Aaron didn't get himself that interview, didn't fight for one. As a result he didn't get one

The season trailer gives away that they eventually get back together.

This is why being in a committed relationship when you're really young is not advisable because you're almost constantly growing and changing. Find yourself first and then find that special someone. Zoey most likely will end up with someone else other than Aaron or Luca. Everyone is different and have their own paths in life to follow but people rarely end up with their first love. It does happen but it's rare. I'm done with the back and forth that they're doing. It's getting old

If you can’t grow together and respect each other that the deal breaker in my opinion. Love is not the only thing that makes a relationship last and i think that’s what’s harder

The saddest thing about this break up is that we know it ain't gonna last. I'm giving them what, like 6 episodes tops before they get back together?
